Kourtney Kardashian Criticized For Putting 5-Year-Old Daughter In Heavy Makeup

Kourtney Kardashian is coming under fire for sharing a photo of her daughter, Penelope Disick, wearing dark purple lipstick and heavy makeup to her Instagram account.

Kourtney shared the photo of her young daughter to celebrate her fifth birthday on July 8, though not all of her followers were a fan of the youngster’s made up look that may have been created using a deep shade from Penelope’s aunt Kylie Jenner’s incredibly popular lipsticks.

Though the snap seemed innocent, despite Penelope looking like she wasn’t too happy, some fans claimed that the star’s photo was totally inappropriate due to the heavy, dark lipstick the child was wearing as she celebrated turning five.

Penelope could be seen wearing a pink tutu with matching ballerina pumps as she sat next to a doll for the picture, but it was the heavy plum lipstick that had social media users calling out the mom of three on social media.

Instagram user @gina_marie__stramaglio claimed that the deep lipstick “looks horrible on this precious girl” and urged Kourtney to take off the makeup, which could also have included eyeshadow and other products, to “make her natural.”

“Pretty girl, why the makeup [though]?” @yakesita66 then asked about the 5-year-old sporting a whole lot of lipstick, and @israbilal2004 wrote in the comments section of Kourtney’s upload, “What have [you] done?”

“She is bit [too] young for makeup, don’t ya think?” @meg_1406 then asked Kourtney of her daughter with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.

But while some made it clear that they weren’t a fan of seeing the little girl in heavy lip makeup, others were quick to look past the lipstick and instead commented on how cute the birthday girl looked on her big day.

“Soo cutee,” Kardashian fan @kardashianloverspt wrote, while @stylehackclub noted that Penelope looked “so sweet” in the birthday photo that showed her looking pretty heavily made up.

Kardashian jokingly captioned the image of her daughter’s “birthday mood” as it looked like Penelope herself wasn’t too happy in the upload that may even have shown the youngster attempting to lick the lipstick off her lips.

Kourtney hasn’t yet responded to the backlash that came from fans who claimed that the heavy makeup on her daughter was inappropriate for her age, though this certainly isn’t the first time in recent weeks that a photo Kardashian has posted to Instagram has caused controversy.

Just last month, fans seriously laid into the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and accused her of setting a bad example for her three children after she posted a snap that showed her lying face down and putting her butt on full display in a gold thong bikini.

Kardashian captioned that controversial backside exposing picture, “Golden.”

Kourtney has only continued to strip down since, most recently being hosed down while sporting another tiny swimwear option during a French vacation with Younes Bendjima.

Just weeks earlier, Kardashian also sported a white swimsuit that turned completely see-through during a trip to the beach with her kids in Miami.
