‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Is A Martinez Returning As Eduardo Hernandez?
Days Of Our Lives fans are wondering if A Martinez will reprise the role of Eduardo Hernandez. The speculation comes after a photo of the actor was posted on the soap opera’s official Instagram account. What are the chances of him returning and if he does, how will he fit into the current storylines?

A few weeks ago, a photo of Eduardo Hernandez, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), and Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) was posted on Instagram. The three gentlemen were on set. In a caption, the social media manager for Days Of Our Lives wrote that it was break time.
Now, this could be an old photo, but the Instagram account usually, but not always, specifies when that is the case. In this picture, it was not revealed if it was a current or past photo. This led fans to speculate in the comments that Eduardo might be returning to Salem.
The last time Eduardo was on Days Of Our Lives was in April. Even though only a few months have passed since his arrest, it seems like forever. As the Inquisitr previously reported, A Martinez talked about the many writer changes. Right now, there is another one and new head writer Ron Carlivati’s episodes should begin airing next week.
“It was [former co-head writer] Josh Griffith who lobbied for me to come on the show and be him [Eduardo]. That is also part of the playing field now in this industry. There tends to be a lot of shifting in the writing ranks compared to what it used to be, so that’s definitely part of it.”
Fans couldn’t help but notice that not much was being done with Eduardo on Days Of Our Lives. He had the potential to be a great character, but the writers left him with empty storylines.
“It was weird the way certain things got truncated so quickly. I thought the characters of Eve [Donovan] and Eduardo had a future. Then, Kassie [DePaiva] departs suddenly. That was off the table. They brought in Alma [Delfina], who was wonderful. Then, the same thing happened to her. The work with Lauren [Koslow] has been great. She is an anchor there for a reason. She delivers at an impeccably deep level with tremendous consistency.”
Out of all those characters Martinez mentioned, Koslow is the only one that remains. It is interesting how she has not moved on romantically since Eduardo’s arrest. Normally, she would jump into another relationship. This is another reason fans are speculating that Eduardo might be released from prison. However, how will Eduardo feel when he finds out Kate married Andre DiMera? Even though it is just a business arrangement, he will get jealous.
There are a lot of returning characters since Carlivati announced he joined the show as the new head writer. Everyone seems excited to see what changes he will bring to the soap opera. Could he bring back Eduardo and create a gripping storyline that will have fans on the edge of their seats? Viewers will just have to wait and see.
