Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres on July 16. Here are the top fan theories and predictions about what will happen.
Jaime will Kill Cersei
When Cersei was young, a witch foretold that all three of her children would die and that Cersei herself would be killed by a "Valonqar, or little brother. That could be the dwarf Tyrion, or it could be Cersei's twin brother Jaime. The Kingslayer seems less satisfied with their incestuous relationship.
One of the most anticipated theories is "Cleganebowl," a ring battle between Sandor and Gregor Clegane. The Hound and the Mountain are the most vicious fighters in Westeros, and they're currently on a collision course to fight. The theory has persisted from early in the series despite the deaths (and resurrections) of both characters.
Tywin seemed to hate his son, Tyrion, right up until the day Tyrion shot him in the loo. While it seemed to be because of Tyrion's deformities and other failures, one theory suggests that it's actually because Tywin's wife, Joanna, had an affair with the Mad King. This would make Tyrion and Daenerys half-siblings!
The Dragon Riders
One of the most popular questions Game of Thrones fans are asking is who are the three "heads of the dragon" who will ride Daenerys' three dragons, and is that really a thing? While Daenerys rides Drogon, her ferocious black dragon, some believe that Jon Snow and Tyrion will end up on the backs of Viserion and Rhaegal. For a long time, Jon Snow being a "secret Targaryen" was a popular theory, and this was finally confirmed last season.
Daenerys is the Villain
Game of Thrones tells its story from multiple points of view that often end up in conflict with one another. One theory holds that once Daenerys lands her army in Westeros, her status as series villain will become undeniable. Jon Snow, who is Azor Ahai reborn, will have to kill her.
Daenerys will save Westeros
Alternately, an opposing theory says Daenerys and Jon Snow will team up to defeat the Lannisters and the invading army of ice zombies, the White Walkers. Theirs will be a song of ice and fire.
