Ben Affleck And Lindsay Shookus’ Have History, Dating While He Was Still With Jennifer Garner?

Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus have a surprisingly long history together and have been close for years. Did the new couple start dating while he was still with Jennifer Garner?

Ben Affleck made his new relationship with Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus known to the world this Thursday when he took her to dinner in Los Angeles. However, the two have actually known each other for years and were reportedly quite close long before either of them got divorced, multiple sources claimed.

Affleck has hosted Saturday Night Live five times. His last appearance was in May of 2013.

In April of 2013, Ben and Lindsay were reportedly spotted acting flirty at the premiere afterparty for The Heat in New York City, according to People.

Eyewitnesses told the media the Affleck “definitely looked interested in her.” Shookus even joined the father-of-three and some friends for drinks at the nearby Mandarin Oriental hotel bar afterward.

Other sources confirmed that whenever Jennifer Garner’s soon-to-be ex-husband would appear on Fallon, he would visit the Saturday Night Live producer on set.

“They were both married at the time, but there was definitely a flirtation.”

An insider close to Affleck, 44, and Shookus, 37, says that the two have maintained that their relationship is “relatively new” adding, “they’ve known each other for a long time” but that “marriages break up for a number of reasons” and they had nothing to do with each other’s divorces.

Just friends while they were married?

Rumors have sparked that the actor and the producer may have begun dating before they separated from their spouses, but it is being enforced by multiple sources that Ben and Linsday were “just friends” at first.

Someone close to the new celebrity couple claimed to the media that although they are taking things slow, their feelings are “strong” for one another.

Despite the fact that Ben’s new relationship with Shookus was just made public, the actor spent time with Jennifer Garner and their three children, Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5, over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The former married couple filed for divorce in April of this year but have been separated since 2015.

Despite the rumors and few false reports, Gossip Cop confirmed that Ben is not trying to get back together with his wife. The two are working on amicably divorcing and keeping life as normal as possible for their three children.

Lindsay Shookus was previously married to then-fellow Saturday Night Live producer, Kevin Miller, in 2010. The pair split a few years ago and share one child.
