Miranda Lambert Reveals What She’s Learned About Love After Blake Shelton Divorce

Miranda Lambert is opening up and getting candid about love.

The singer spoke about her love life in a new interview where she gushed over boyfriend Anderson East and revealed what she’s learned about love in the wake of her 2015 divorce from husband of three years, Blake Shelton.

Miranda revealed all when speaking about love and relationships in Cosmopolitan’s first ever country issue, which features the stunning singer as cover girl for the August edition of the long running women’s magazine.

The musician appeared to reference her failed romance with her fellow country star when taking the magazine’s “The Cosmo Quiz” and seemingly hinted at the pain she felt over their breakup by calling love “worth it.”

When asked to state one thing she knows about love, Miranda, who’s stayed very quiet about her divorce since filing in July 2015, replied, “It’s big and it’s worth it.”

Though she didn’t mention Shelton by name in the new interview, her seeming reference to their split – which sent shockwaves across country music fans two years ago – comes shortly after Lambert admitted that she was left heartbroken when she and Blake called it quits after four years of marriage.

She also confirmed that she then used that heartbreak to influence her new music.

When appearing at the ACM Awards in April, the country singer thanked fans for letting her “use [her] heartbreak” to inspire her most recent album, The Weight of These Wings, as she accepted the prestigious ACM Award for Album of the Year, per Us Weekly.

The star then continued to open up about how her and Shelton’s divorce influenced her music just last month when she admitted that her songs about their seemingly quite sudden break-up are actually her favorites she’s ever recorded.

“I really enjoyed the process of this last record called The Weight of These Wings because I took my time on it and spent over a year writing for it,” Lambert said when asked which of her studio albums is her favorite in an interview with Buzzfeed.

“I sort of got to explore my songwriting in a different way than I ever have before,” she added of the release, which is widely reported to be all about her divorce.

But while Miranda hasn’t explicitly spoken about Shelton since the two’s split two years ago, she has been a little more open when it comes to discussing finding love again with boyfriend Anderson East.

Lambert told the magazine this week that Anderson is always the first person she calls when she’s about to have a meltdown.

The little titbit came shortly after Us Weekly reported that things are getting serious for Miranda and Anderson and claimed that the “Tin Man” singer is loving that her relationship – thought to be her first since divorcing Blake – is so much more low key than when she was married to The Voice coach.

“[Miranda] couldn’t have picked a better dude to have fun with. Anderson is the coolest guy,” a source said of Lambert’s romance.

Adding that “nobody bothers them” when they’re spotted out and about together on dates, the magazine’s insider noted that “she could have never done that with Blake.”
