The Strain Season 4 is already set to premiere this July, which means fans can finally learn the fate of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his band of fighters. The last season will undoubtedly feature the final battle between Eph and The Master, but will Zach betray his own father out of spite for Kelly’s death?
The third season of the FX series offered a short-lived victory for Eph, Setrakian, Fet, and Quinlan as they managed to prevent The Master’s bomb from exploding before capturing the villain in a silver-lined sarcophagus. However, things quickly went bad as Eph was forced to kill Kelly in front of Zach, who decided to detonate the bomb hidden in the Statue of Liberty.
Needless to say, the previous season ended in a mess as The Master escaped yet again while the strigoi were able to wander freely during daylight due to the explosion’s debris blocking out the sun. Mankind’s defeat seems certain, but fans are still hoping that Eph and his group will manage to turn things around in the final battle in The Strain Season 4.
The fourth season of the Carlton Cuse series has already been confirmed to be the last. Although the show has repeatedly left Eph and his team defeated, there is a possibility that their luck will change before the end.
The teaser for The Strain Season 4 offers a glimpse at something people have been looking forward to seeing for some time. The short trailer shows Fet interacting with a hostile group of survivors who are not impressed until they see Quinlan. If the odd couple can manage to work together in the final season, there is a huge possibility that Eph will succeed in killing The Master and saving his son.
Unfortunately, it is still possible that Zach will refuse to return to his father after Kelly’s death. There are speculations that the young boy will be The Master’s most effective weapon against Eph and his fighters in The Strain Season 4.
People who are hoping to learn more about the show’s future will be delighted to know that The Strain will have a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. Cuse will be joined by Corey Stoll, Kevin Durand, David Bradley, Miguel Gomez, Richard Sammel, Ruta Gedmintas, and Max Charles on Thursday, July 20 from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. in Ballroom 20.
The Strain Season 4 will premiere on FX on July 16.
