Rob Kardashian, Blac Chyna Drama Escalates With Possible Revenge Porn Charges

Former couple Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna apparently still have some issues to work through as evidenced by yesterday’s social media outbursts. Kardashian started the fracas by putting up several posts on Instagram accusing Chyna of cheating on him. It’s unclear from these posts whether or not the duo had actually briefly reunited a couple of weeks ago as TMZ speculated or if this is all stemming from older events.

Blac Chyna blasted back via social media by claiming that Rob Kardashian had beaten her and then made threats about his entire family coming after her if she reported the domestic violence. The online incident continued to escalate until Kardashian did something that may end up putting him before a judge for revenge porn charges.

Did Rob Kardashian Use Revenge Porn Against Blac Chyna?

If Rob Kardashian had stopped at accusing Blac Chyna of cheating on him, drug abuse and using him financially, there probably wouldn’t have been potential legal action brewing. After this, Kardashian posted a video of Chyna making out with another man, followed by calling her “crazy” and a “fraud.” This may have been enough to push the model to consider a defamation of character lawsuit.

Unfortunately for everyone involved, Rob Kardashian didn’t stop there. His next step was to post naked photos of Blac Chyna on Instagram and Twitter. When Instagram deleted these images for violating their terms of service, Kardashian posted them again. In other words, Rob Kardashian had time to think through the potential consequences of his actions, and yet he made the decision to repost naked photos without permission.

California takes an especially hard legal stance against revenge porn, which could lead to Rob Kardashian going to jail for up to six months. The legal definition of revenge porn in California stipulates that sharing intimate photos or videos without the consent of an individual who can be easily identified is a crime.

Will Rob Kardashian be Convicted of Revenge Porn?

To be convicted of a revenge porn offense, Blac Chyna would have to file charges against Rob Kardashian. Next, she would need to prove that the photos were intended for private use only and that their public release caused her serious emotional distress.

Legal experts have indicated that Kardashian’s actions would definitely fall under the revenge porn law. The law has been on the books in California since 2014, although it has rarely been used. Approximately two-thirds of all states have passed similar legislation, which offers some legal protection for people who become the victims of this crime.

If Rob Kardashian is charged and convicted of revenge porn against Blac Chyna, he can expect a $1,000 fine on top of possible jail time. This may feel more like a slap on the wrist for a member of a famous family, especially because he is rumored to have a personal net worth of $6 million. In fact, the revenge porn drama between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna is likely to provide increased ratings, and therefore more money, for the family’s reality show.
