The Walking Dead Season 8 premieres this fall on AMC. This season, there has not been a lot of spoilers. However, there is one character that is rumored to die in Episode 1. Who is it and how would it change the storyline?
TWD spoilers are ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what could happen in the television series.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, The Walking Dead Season 8 premiere spoilers have already been released. It was teased that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and some members of The Kingdom will go to the Sanctuary. However, they are surprised when they encounter Gregory (Xander Berkeley), who has beaten them to it. A battle will begin and there is an explosion, which turns the RV into nothing but burnt ash.
According to a forum post in The Spoiling Dead Fans, there will be at least one casualty. TWD spoilers claim that it might be a character fans know well. Several people speculated that Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam) could be killed in the 100th episode.
It is true that characters often die after they finally start to get viewers to like them. When Father Gabriel first appeared on The Walking Dead, he was a hated man. Last season, he really turned himself around and fans actually like him now. However, Father Gabriel has his own storyline in Robert Kirkman’s comic books. It would be a shame to kill him off before that story had a chance to be told.

With that being said, Seth Gilliam is a busy man. Not only does he star in The Walking Dead, but he also appeared in Teen Wolf, which airs its finale this summer. Both shows will celebrate the 100th episode and the actor was able to be part of both, according to Buffalo News. He has also been working on Change In The Air and Police State.
In the TWD comic books, Father Gabriel approaches Rick and asks to join the army. He wants to pitch in and to help in more ways. He decides to train to be a soldier. However, he ends up getting killed. Still, it is a great leap from how he was when he first met Rick Grimes and the others.
