Michael Madsen DUI: ‘Kill Bill’ Actor Charged With Two Counts Of Drunken Driving

Kill Bill star Michael Madsen has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence stemming from an arrest earlier this year.

As The Inquisitr reported back in September, Madsen, 55, was popped for drunken driving after police observed the actor weaving in and out of lanes on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies at the time, Madsen failed his field sobriety test and allegedly had a blood alcohol content to be more than double the legal limit.

TMZ reports that on Wednesday, the Los Angeles City Attorney filed two misdemeanor counts of DUI against Madsen — one for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and another for driving with a BAC of .08 or higher.

Madsen could face up to two years behind bars if convicted, but TMZ notes that no previous DUI convictions will likely ensure he escapes a jail sentence.

Madsen is scheduled to appear in court later this month, but Lawyers for the actor have insisted that he will fight the criminal charges.

Madsen’s recent DUI ordeal wasn’t the only legal problem the star has faced this year.

In March, the actor was arrested on felony charges of child endangerment with cruelty to a child after an argument with one of his sons at his Malibu home.

Police reports said several indications of injury were observed on Madsen’s son at the time, but the boy did not require medical attention.

Michael Madsen later called the whole situation a “big misunderstanding.”
