[VIDEO] Gamer uses Super Mario World to propose

When Nintendo fan and Awesome Man Brad decided to propose to his fiancee Lisa, he did so in just about the most romantic way this old gamer can think of: he hacked seminal platformer Super Mario World to create his own personalized message out of golden coins.

But did she say yes? Well, yeah obviously, jeez. Pretty sure I’d marry the first person who proposed to me in such an awesome way. Or in any way, really. Seriously, all offers taken. God, I’m so alone. *sniff* Over to you, Brad:

“On October 15th 2009, it was out 5 year anniversary so i decided to propose. Using a program called lunar magic I was able to spell “lisa… Will you marry me?” she may not look too surprised in the video but you should of seen her afterwords, she couldn’t sit still!!! And no it wasn’t staged, but I did sit her down told her to play some Super Mario World, but she totally didn’t know she was being recorded!!”

Congrats, you guys. I’ll admit I got a lump in my throat. And maybe a speck of dust in my eye. Video below:
