Kate Middleton: The Duchess Goes Back To School, Put On The Spot By Curious Pupil

Kate Middleton has been making her fair share of appearances to support a number of important causes, such as those related to the Heads Together campaign, which focuses on eradicating the negative stigma attached to mental illness. Most recently, the Duchess of Cambridge went back to school to help teach pupils about environmental issues.

Middleton appeared at the Docklands Sailing and Water Sport Centre, where an event was being held to encourage individuals to be more conscientious about wildlife. The lesson involved sharing the negative impacts of plastic bags on birds and other wildlife.

The Daily Mail took note of Middleton’s role while present at the event.

“Kate, 35, was helping teach children to use hessian bags and bamboo toothbrushes to save plastic in her role as trustee of the 1851 Trust – the official charity of Britain’s Americas Cup sailing team Land Rover BAR. “

While joining in on teaching the little pupils, the students had some interesting questions for the beautiful royal, and some queries did not exactly coincide with environmental issues. The Duchess was all laughs and smiles while appearing as Patron of the 1851 Trust on Friday, and the publication notes one question that caught Kate off guard, regarding her favorite car.

“Cheeky Rafi Ahmed surprised her with the question but quick thinking Kate conveniently replied she had a Land Rover – but appears to have forgotten to mention the car she has from the royal fleet. Year five Rafi said: ‘I said ‘how many cars do you have?’ She said she had a Land Rover. “She asked me ‘what’s your favourite car?” I said a Lamborghini. ‘I felt like I was going to be famous.'”

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is married to Prince William, is also never shy about sharing details from her own childhood and from her recent years as a wife and mother, which causes the royal to be even more endearing to the masses. Most recently, Kate Middleton was keen to share about childhood nicknames she and sister Pippa Middleton went by in their youth. Understandably, Pippa’s nickname was “Pip,” while Kate received “Squeak,” as Honey Nine notes.

Royal enthusiasts and Kate fans will likely find out countless more details about the duchess as she is set to appear at many more events while the busy mom begins taking on even more royal responsibilities.
