A pickup truck waving a "Make America Great Again" flag was shot at while driving along the Interstate 465 highway in Indiana. The truck also carried an American Flag.
The blue Dodge 2001 pickup truck came under fire around 4 p.m. on Tuesday while traveling in the eastbound lane on the Indiana highway, according to police reports. Police investigators believe the shot that hit the Trump supporter's truck was fired from a white Chevy Malibu with Louisiana license plates, WISH-TV reports.
The driver of the Chevy Malibu was described by the truck driver and his passenger as a black man in his early twenties. The passenger in the car, who may have been the person who fired the gun, was described as a light-skinned black man in his early to possibly middle twenties. The passenger also reportedly had a "sleeve" tattoo on his right arm, according to the witnesses. No one was injured as a result of the shooting incident.
Indiana law enforcement officials have stated it is feasible that the shots fired at the pickup truck with the Make America Great Again flag were fired by both the driver of the Chevy Malibu and his passenger. The investigation into the Indiana highway shooting is still in its early stages.

Police officials currently believe the Indiana highway shooting was an isolated incident, according to comments made by Indiana State Police Sergeant John Perrine to the Indianapolis Star.
Sergeant Perrine went on to say that at this point the police are not sure if the shooting was motivated by the Make America Great Again flag supporting President Donald Trump or if it was merely an incident of road rage.
