Rapper 40 Glocc Shot: Reports Claim Rapper Shot After Altercation in San Bernardino Cemetery

Rapper 40 Glocc was reportedly shot during an altercation in California, with reports claiming that the incident took place during an altercation in a cemetery that left another woman injured.

The report about 40 Glocc’s alleged shooting has gone viral on social media, and the site, All Hip Hop, reported that the shooting took place Thursday, with another woman also run down by a car.

“According to multiple reports, rapper 40 Glocc was shot in an altercation yesterday (June 15),” the site reported. “The rapper reportedly visiting the Mt. View Cemetery in San Bernardino with a female companion, when a shooting occurred.”

The site then cited a report from the San Bernardino Sun that detailed the incident without not naming the victims. The report claimed that the shooting took place at Mt. View Cemetery at around 2:20 p.m. on Thursday. A man was shot in the arm and chest, and a woman “suffered injuries consistent with being run down by a car,” St. Bernardine Medical Center spokeswoman Eileen Hards told the newspaper.

Police reportedly collected evidence at the scene including bullet casings, and officers detained several subjects at the scene.

The 42-year-old rapper, whose real name is Lawrence White, has often been involved in legal trouble and other incidents of violence. In 1995, he was on under suspicion of attempted murder of a police officer after a shootout with police, but the rapper was ultimately not charged in the incident.

40 Glocc was arrested a number of other times and had a famous feud with The Game in 2012 after the two got into a verbal and physical altercation. As Hip Hop DX noted, 40 Glocc tried to sue The Game for $4.5 million after the incident, but the case was eventually settled for $3,000.

There was still some doubt online as to whether 40 Glocc was really the victim of the shooting. Though the reports had spread quickly on social media, many noted that the rumors of his shooting were still not confirmed.

The man injured in the San Bernardino shooting was listed in stable condition. There is still no confirmation whether 40 Glocc was the person who was shot or the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police have also not yet said whether there are any suspects in the shooting.
