Chris Brown Loses Court Battle And Served With Five-Year Restraining Order From Karrueche Tran

Chris Brown was on the losing end after his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran was granted a five-year restraining order against him. The judge determined that “Heartbreak on a Full Moon” singer should never be anywhere near the actress/model because he might hurt her.

The order was handed down on June 15 in Santa Monica court in California. This marks the end of the legal battle for the exes, at least for now. Karrueche had been given a temporary restraining order in March after she accused Chris Brown of domestic violence.

A week after the initial order of protection was approved, the 29-year-old model went back to court to request for permanent restraining order due to Brown’s serious threats against her. The case was heard, and earlier today, after pleading on the stand, Karrueche Tran was given a full protective order that will be in effect for five years.

Daily Mail reported in February that Chris Brown beat and threatened his ex-GF after they broke up. He also demanded Tran return all the diamond rings and money he gave her when they were still together, but she refused.

According to Tran, with her refusal to return the gifts, Brown became more aggressive and started to terrorize her through text messages. Allegedly, Brown told her via SMS, “If I see you out in public again and I’m there I will make you hate me even more, don’t be anywhere I’m out in public, I’m going to ban you from all events.”

Another intimidating text reads, “I will beat the s**t out of you” and “I promise you I will make your life hell.”

As reported by E! Online, in her pleading, Karrueche Tran told the judge that Chris Brown also hit her in the past. When asked about the diamond ring, she admitted that she still has it but told her ex that it was already sold so he would leave her alone.

Meanwhile, Brown was not allowed to attend the trial when Tran got her five-year restraining order. The judge also forbade the singer to follow the hearing even through a phone call.

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran dated between 2011 and 2015, but it was an on and off relationship. They split up for good after the latter discovered that her boyfriend had a love child with model Nia Guzman.
