Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi will uncover a mystery that has plagued fans about one new character – the enigmatic Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis).
While director Rian Johnson revealed to David Kamp of Vanity Fair that the film will not get into the villain that much in Star Wars: Episode 8, there are still revelations to expect in the film with regards to the big bad.
Fans will remember that Snoke towered over Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) as he spoke to them in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He appeared as a giant as he sat on his throne.
It turns out this is not his real size and he was just using a hologram. According to Star Wars watcher and YouTuber Mike Zeroh, fans will see the device that Snoke uses in doing so in Star Wars: Episode 8.
Previous reports and leaks have suggested that Snoke is not as gigantic as he appeared in the last Star Wars film and he is just like Kylo Ren and others in terms of stature. Why he uses such technology remains to be seen. For some reason, he finds it necessary to only project himself in a hologram when communicating with his underlings.
If the rumors are to be believed, Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi will reveal a new layer of Snoke’s identity such as where he stays and the kind of lifestyle he has.
Zeroh stated in the past that Snoke will not be completely computer-generated in the sequel with the production team using practical effect in the form of a puppet of some sort. The Star Wars leakster added that the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI) will be limited to his robe.
This means that fans could finally see the First Order leader’s true form in Star Wars: Episode 8. Rumors have it that while he is not as enormous as he seemed, Snoke is big on wealth.
The Last Jedi will allegedly provide an inside look of what is rumored to be a very fancy lifestyle that he lives in. Snoke reportedly likes his abode to be extravagant and wears plush clothes to match. Zeroh adds that his Praetorian guards even kneel to him, which signals that he is indeed quite the royalty.
While not much will be revealed about Snoke in Star Wars: Episode 8, fans will learn enough about what kind of a man he is and what he is like in person.
Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi hits cinemas on December 15.
