Peter Kraus: Rachel Lindsay’s ‘Bachelorette’ Frontrunner Responds To Accusations His High School Goal Was Fame

Peter Kraus is undoubtedly one of the frontrunners on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette. Ever since he went on a two-on-one date with Rachel and her dog Copper, fans of the long-running ABC dating show have been in love with the couple’s cute chemistry. But now, an unearthed yearbook photo posted by TMZ makes it seem as though Peter didn’t sign on to the show for the right reasons. Now, Kraus is poking fun at the throwback pic, saying his yearbook blurb is so off-the-wall he wasn’t even sure he really wrote it.

Kraus captioned TMZ‘s screenshot of his 2005 high school yearbook photo from Edgewood High in Madison, WI, by declaring it “one of the most fantastic yearbook blurbs” he has ever seen.

“So ridiculous even I had to check its authenticity!” Peter wrote.

While several of Peter Kraus’ senior year goals have some people now questioning his intentions, the 31-year-old model-turned-personal-trainer defended his foresight.

“Well… when I set my mind to something at 17… apparently I really stick to it,” Peter wrote of his questionable yearbook caption.

Kraus downplayed his future goals of wanting to “become famous one way or another” and “be on the Bachelor” by instead pointing out his lack of fashion sense back in the day. His outfit is pretty bad, although his talk of “destiny” is very Bachelorette-esque.

Earlier this week, TMZ claimed Peter Kraus seemed to just be looking for fame due to the fact that his high school yearbook revealed that he wanted to “Go to art school, become famous in one way or another, be on The Bachelor, live happily.”

Because Kraus is rumored to be Rachel Lindsay’s final pick on the current season of the show, his yearbook photo is raising eyebrows among Bachelorette fans. But there’s no doubt Rachel is clearly smitten with Peter. On her blog for People, Rachel revealed that Peter struck her as “a man who is incredibly down to earth” as well as handsome. Lindsay also gave Kraus props for winning over her beloved dog.

“Peter seemed to win over Copper just as fast as he won me over,” Rachel wrote.

The Bachelorette star also revealed that this non-fame-seeking nice guy snuck away from their date to give a homeless man his sandwich during lunch. That gesture was enough to earn Peter a rose.

“The fireworks were going off in my heart long before the real ones shot off into the desert night sky,” Rachel revealed of her date with Peter.

Of course, one of the big issues on The Bachelorette is whether or not a suitor signed up for the show for the right reasons. Several of Rachel’s guys have blatant reality TV pasts and at least one even had unfinished business with a hometown girlfriend, but hopefully, Peter Kraus isn’t into the fame game. Because that would really be a shame.
