WWE Network Appearance Causes Former Announcer To Call Jim Cornette A ‘Two-Dollar Hooker”

Last week, the WWE Network series Table For 3 had a shocking panel of guests. Current WWE writer Michael P.S. Hayes hosted the discussion between former WCW booker Eric Bischoff and WWE legendary manager and booker Jim Cornette. This was shocking because there was no love lost between Cornette and Bischoff, and Jim actually said that if he ever saw Bischoff, he would “kick his a**.”

The former WCW announcer and current radio personality, Mark Madden appeared on the Wrestling Reality podcast this week (via 411mania) and said that Jim Cornette appearing on the WWE Network series proved that he was a “two-dollar hooker.”

“I just thought that him appearing on WWE TV on the Network with Eric Bischoff was in itself laughable… Jim Cornette, like I said, a ‘two-dollar hooker’ dropping the laundry, and you can quote me on that.”

The entire time he was on the WWE Network show, Jim Cornette kept taking shots at former WWE writer, Vince Russo, which seemed to amuse Eric Bischoff. The two even claimed to grow closer while the Table for 3 episode went on since they both hated Russo.

There was an interesting moment where Jim Cornette asked Eric Bischoff why he never said before that the problems Cornette had with him were someone else’s fault. Bischoff simply said it was because he didn’t care enough to clarify the situation, which comes into something Mark Madden said as well.

According to Madden, Eric Bischoff never talked about Jim Cornette and their problems. Madden even said that he doesn’t think Bischoff even considers Cornette. That is likely one of the reasons that the WWE continues to bring Bischoff in while Cornette has been persona non grata to the WWE for a decade now.

Mark Madden referred to Jim Cornette as “unemployable” in the professional wrestling business, saying he can’t work with anyone. Madden also said that is sad because few people know as much about professional wrestling as Jim Cornette.

The only real reason that Cornette was there for the WWE Network show was that the WWE wanted him to induct the Rock ‘N Roll Express into the WWE Hall of Fame. While he was there, the idea came up for him to work with Eric Bischoff on Table for 3.

Jim Cornette has never been one to hold his tongue. He openly talks about how much he hates the current landscape of professional wrestling. He has insulted both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon constantly. He has said that he hates Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff, many members of the wrestling media, and even Mark Madden himself. On his podcasts, he even has ranked people he hates.

Madden said that Jim Cornette has a “for him or against him” mentality, and he hates anyone that he feels is against him. Mark said that he got on Cornette’s hate list when he called a gimmick that Jim came up with in Smoky Mountain Wrestling racist.

There is no telling if Jim Cornette will have any further business dealings with the WWE after the WWE Network special. Cornette himself has spoken about it since, saying it surprised even him to get the invitation, but he seemed to enjoy himself, and it might open up more chances in the future if he can hold his tongue.
