‘Orange Is The New Black’ Star Laverne Cox Goes Braless In Fishnets In NYC

Orange Is The New Black star Laverne Cox went braless in fishnets while hailing a cab in New York City on Tuesday.

Braless in New York

Laverne Cox, who is best known for her role as Sophia on Orange Is the New Back, was spotted out in New York this week wearing a navy blue top without a bra. The actress showed off her long legs in a pair of denim shorts and black fishnet tights.

The 32-year-old actress was seen trying to hail a taxi in the city and wore comfortable gray flats for the outing, Daily Mail reported.

Cox wore an expensive Hermes purse on her shoulder, appeared to be makeup-free, and covered her eyes with a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Laverne spent the last few days celebrating the premiere of the fifth season of her hit Netflix series. The full season of Orange Is The New Black was released on June 9.

On Friday, the actress attended a premiere party with her costars at Catch NYC.

A season ending with a cliffhanger

Season 4 of Orange Is The New Black concluded with the prison reeling from Poussey’s death and the prison owners, MCC, debating on how to handle the situation. The warden Caputo went rogue, holding a press conference saying he refused to fire Bayley.

Poussey was unintentionally suffocated by the inexperienced corrections officer, Baxter Bayley. The prisoners rallied against Caputo for not mentioning Poussey’s name. Tensions came to a climax during the season finale when corrections officer Humphrey brought a gun to the prison only for the inmates to immediately knock it out of his hands.

The finale ended with Daya picking up the gun pointed at Humphrey’s head, EW reported.

Picking up where they left off

Season 5 of the Netflix series picked up exactly where they left off in the season finale. Daya’s fellow inmates gathered around her, urging her to pull the trigger.

Humphrey begins talking about his childhood love of frogs, which Taystee explains is just a tactic to “make us see he’s a person.”

???? squad never looked so good.

Daya ends up pulling the trigger anyway, shooting him in the leg, causing the Litchfield prison riot to begin, which is the focus of Season 5.
