Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Put Their Career On Hold For The Sake Of Their Six Kids

Angelina Jolie and her estranged husband Brad Pitt have reportedly put their careers on hold as they tend to their impending divorce and custody agreement for their six kids.

According to a new report, both actors have decided it is best to take a break from their busy careers in Hollywood as the focus on being available to their children as much as possible.

“Neither Brad, nor Angelina have plans to act anytime soon,” a source told Hollywood Life on June 12. “Both Brad and Angelina have made the decision to cut back on acting work, as it takes them away from home for such long periods of time, and they won’t be able to be there for the kids as much as they want. Brad is signed on for the World War Z sequel, but that’s just in pre-production stage and has no shooting date set. Angelina is signed to the Maleficent follow up, but that’s still in the development stage, so filming won’t be starting for some time.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt parted ways in September 2016 amid allegations of child abuse. As fans may recall, rumors of a fight between Pitt and their oldest son, 15-year-old Maddox, hit the web in September of last year and in Jolie’s divorce filing, she requested full physical custody of Maddox and his siblings, including 13-year-old Pax, 12-year-old Zahara, 11-year-old Shiloh, and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. Although the child abuse case against Brad Pitt was ultimately closed, his time with his kids was kept to a minimum in the months that followed his split from Angelina Jolie.

Although Brad Pitt’s visitation with his children has increased in recent months, the kids appear to be spending the majority of their time with their mother, who moved into a rental home in Malibu, California, before purchasing a new home in Los Feliz, near where Pitt resides.

During their marriage, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shared a number of homes, including a place in Los Feliz, a chateau in France, a home in New Orleans, and an apartment in New York City.

As Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attempt to navigate through their divorce and custody battle, the Hollywood Life insider went on to reveal that both parties have dedicated themselves to giving their children as normal of an upbringing as possible, despite their split.

“The kids are everything to [Brad and Angelina],” the source explained. “They’re committed to giving them the best upbringing possible, and as normal a childhood as they can, given the circumstances. The breakup made them even more determined to do so, as the kids really suffered emotionally following the split. Brad and Angelina may still have issues with each other, but they are working hard at resolving them, and are both determined to provide a stable and loving home for the children. They are parents, number one, and Hollywood stars, number two.”

Since their breakup last year, Angelina Jolie has been seen out and about with their six kids but Brad Pitt has not been seen with them publicly at all since September. That said, Pitt and Maddox were both spotted at a therapist’s office in Los Angeles earlier this month where they reportedly attended separate therapy sessions.
