Meghan Markle Mum About Marriage Plans To Prince Harry
While everyone waits for the inevitable in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s romance, the Suits star could only give a smile when she was asked during the ATX Television Festival in Austin if she hoped to marry the fifth to the British throne one day. Looking chic in a red and white floral Club Monaco dress, she joined a panel discussion with her Suits co-stars. The cast also partook in a script reading to celebrate the show’s 100th episode.
Sitting in the middle of the series creator Aaron Korsch and co-star Gina Torres, the Daily Mail reported that Meghan spent much of her time looking down at her script. Later on, the 35-year-old actress described her cast mates as being like family.
“We were in a group email the other day and I was saying we’d all lived in the same corporate housing so on top of working together we were living together which makes a whole different dynamic, I think,” Meghan shared. “We just became this whole family right out the gate.”
Though mostly quiet during the panel discussion—especially when asked about marriage plans to Prince Harry—Meghan lit up when one question touched on women’s rights, one of the star’s advocacies. The star described how her character, Rachel Zane, had evolved and grown in the series, from being a paralegal to now being an associate.
“I am so happy … she’s worked so hard and I love that, as a role model, how she’s been crafted to balance it all, and now have this place at the firm where she really knows her standing, and her office isn’t just because she’s a good researcher, it’s because she’s an associate. She’s really earned that spot.”

The actress was a good sport though, as she laughed with the crowd when co-star Rick Hoffman teased her by suggesting doing part of the script reading in a British accent—an obvious reference to her royal beau.
After the panel discussion and script reading, Meghan joined the cast, including her Suits love interest Patrick J. Adams, for lunch at a Mexican restaurant called La Condesa. While Markle declined interviews prior and after the event, ET Online caught up with Adams who dished on his co-star’s romance and even opened up about the possibility of a Prince Harry cameo in the series.
“Meghan and I have been such good friends for years now and to see her so happy is great. She’s super excited,” Adams shared. “I’m super happy for her and she’s been such a pro in this season and it’s going so well.”
The actor added that he’s still waiting to meet Prince Harry, but likening the Suits set to a workplace, and nobody really wants to come to a workplace. If he had his way, though, he would make a Prince Harry cameo on Suits happen.
“I’ll work on it,” he shared. “I’ll put in the hours. I’m sure it’s super easy and uncomplicated.”
Meanwhile, Meghan has been keeping a low profile since she was spotted being driven by Prince Harry to Pippa Middleton’s wedding reception. The actress did not attend the ceremony, as it seemed she and the prince did not want to steal the limelight from Kate Middleton’s sister. Meghan’s next public sighting was reported to be at the airport when she arrived in Austin for the ATX Television Festival. Twenty-four hours after, Meghan was seen back at the airport, stylish as ever in a pair of pink linen shorts, as she caught her flight back to Toronto.
