‘Teen Mom OG’ Sneak Peek: Maci Bookout Is Exhausted By Ryan Edwards’ Alleged Drug Use
Maci Bookout spoke out about Ryan Edwards’ alleged drug struggles during last week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, but this week, the reality star is staying silent.
After admitting she often fears an overdose could happen, Maci Bookout is seen being confronted by her co-star Catelynn Lowell, who wants to know how Edwards is doing on tonight’s new episode of the MTV reality series.
“How are things back home, [Maci Bookout]?” Lowell asks, according to a sneak peek shared by OK! Magazine on June 12.
“Fine,” she replies.
Then, when Lowell specifies that she was referring to Ryan Edwards and his allegedly ongoing struggles with substance abuse, Maci Bookout expresses her exhaustion with the situation.
“Oh Lord, I don’t want to talk about that today… I’m drained,” she explains to her co-star as Amber Portwood sits beside her.
During last week’s show, Maci Bookout opened up to her co-stars about her concerns for Ryan Edwards during a cast vacation in Puerto Rico with their significant others. Because both Lowell and Portwood have dealt with addiction in one way or another, Bookout appreciated the conversation, but after exposing his issues last week, Bookout has chosen to stay silent during tonight’s Teen Mom OG.

Maci Bookout shares one son with Ryan Edwards, 8-year-old Bentley, and over the weekend, the reality star shared a photo of the boy posing at a baseball game with her husband, Taylor McKinney.
In addition to Bentley, Maci Bookout shares two children, daughter Jayde, 2, and son Maverick, 1, with husband McKinney.
Throughout the past few episodes of Teen Mom OG, Maci Bookout has had tons of support from her co-stars, and because Portwood has openly dealt with addiction, she has been able to shed some light on the topic for Bookout. Meanwhile, Bookout’s concerns have led her to speak of an intervention on the show.
While it is unclear whether Maci Bookout went through with her plans to intervene, fans may see more of the issue on Teen Mom OG, and offscreen, a recent report suggested Ryan Edwards entered rehab weeks ago.

During last week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, Maci Bookout was seen breaking down about Ryan Edwards’ struggles and admitting that she wonders at times whether he’ll make it to the other side of his addiction.
Despite her ex-boyfriend’s ongoing struggles, Maci Bookout has continued to interact with her fans online as she and husband Taylor McKinney tend to their kids. In fact, the reality star recently revealed to her fans and followers, via People Magazine, that she and McKinney were considering expanding their family through adoption.
“We’ve both have talked about adoption or fostering in the future, down the road, but we’re not [having kids] biologically,” Bookout told the magazine. “For both of us, it’s one of those things where if we are capable of providing a stable home, healthy relationships and some hope for a child who may not have that or ever experienced it, then we want to.”
“If we are able to do that then why would we not?” she added. “Plus, I think introducing our children to something like that and giving them that experience and for other child to be able to have a sibling or healthy relationships with other children… all kids deserve that. If we can give it to them then why wouldn’t we?”
