Lindsay Lohan Investigated By Police Three Times For Allegedly Stealing $30,000 Worth Of Ex’s Belongings

Lindsay Lohan isn’t often seen in the media anymore, but the star made headlines last summer when she and now ex-fiance, Egor Tarabasov, were caught physically fighting on a European beach. While she’s long since ditched the questionable Russian oligarch, she was allegedly called into Charing Cross police station three times in May to answer for possibly stealing over $30,000 worth of her ex’s belongings.

A source close to Egor spoke to the Daily Mail about the incident.

“Egor had been chasing Lindsay for months for the return of his personal belongings, but to no avail. In the end, he felt he had no choice but to go to police and formally accuse her of theft. Lindsay had been in and out of the country, so police initially struggled to pin her down to be interviewed. They finally got through to her after sending an email to her publicist, threatening Lindsay with arrest. It is fair to say there is no love lost between the two,” the insider revealed.

Lindsay Lohan’s reps, however, have a totally different story on the what transpired between the ex lovers.

“Egor nor any of his representatives contacted me at any time over the past eight months regarding his belongings. Once we were informed and back in the country we happily found the belongings and gave them back. I wish the best for him and hope he can move on in his life,” they stated.

The star was accused of lifting his Rolex, jewelry and several items of clothing.

This isn’t the first time Lindsay Lohan has had a brush with the law, and not even the first time in a long while. Just last month, Lindsay was ordered to pay one of her driver’s $28,000 in unpaid bills. Although she was sued for the money, Lindsay never showed up in court and the lawsuit defaulted to the plaintiff.

Lindsay Lohan was also charged with theft in 2011 after stealing a necklace worth over $2,500 from a Los Angeles boutique. The price of the necklace bumped up the crime to a grand theft. Video surveillance of Lindsay showed her wearing the item in the store just a few minutes after it went missing. The one-of-a-kind piece was also photographed on Lindsay Lohan by paparazzi just a few days after it was reported missing. She denied the allegations initially, but was eventually sentenced to jail in May of that year for the robbery.

Oddly enough, Lindsay Lohan loves jewelry so much that she’s set to create her own line of it. It is unknown when it will launch, but she is working to create the line which will go on sale at some point in the future.

She is also said to be working on a TV series that she is setting up to pitch to Netflix. The passion project has been described as similar to Brit Marling’s bizarre The OA, as Lindsay Lohan plans to act, direct and write the series, despite her having no experience with the last two categories.

The series will channel her relationship with Tarabasov, as it is based on the lives of Russian oligarchs. It is set to chronicle the lives of three different Russian princesses during three very different time periods in Russia. Lindsay Lohan is said to have traveled to Moscow to work on the project, but there has been no official word on how it is developing.

Although she has no experience as a writer or director, Lindsay Lohan has apparently been working with someone who does have experience to help her pull it off. It will be interesting to see if it does get picked up by Netflix.
