Watch ‘Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly’ Online, Should She Interview POTUS After Fox Feud? [Video]

NBC’s new program Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly has aired, and you can watch the full episode online and on demand. The show airs Sunday nights at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT and features ex-Fox host Megyn Kelly. Kelly became a controversial and highly discussed figure in the 2016 election when she went head-to-head with then-candidate Donald Trump during his campaign. After Kelly drew Trump’s public wrath, she went on to state that then Fox CEO and Chairman Roger Ailes had made unwarranted sexual advances towards her, as People reported.

Megyn Kelly’s first episode premiered on June 4, 2017, and she interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin. The interview was fitting for Kelly as her role on Fox News often put her at odds with President Trump, and he had no problem using Twitter to discuss Kelly over the years. You may read some of President Trump’s tweets that disparaged Megyn Kelly in the posts below. Some of the words President Trump used to describe Megyn Kelly and her previous Fox show were crazy, average, sick, and he even called on people to boycott her show for reporting too many negative reports about him. ABC has a timeline of the Trump/Kelly feud. You may read that timeline in the link. Since Kelly has interviewed Russian President Putin, many are wondering if Kelly has plans to interview President Donald Trump, and if she is willing to, would he agree to sit for an interview.

People discussed the topic and shared recent comments by Kelly regarding the possibility of interviewing Donald Trump. According to People, President Donald Trump is welcome to appear on her show at any time. When posed with the question as to whether she was willing to interview President Trump, Megyn Kelly responded with the following.

“Heck yes. We would not say no to the sitting president. Although, I don’t think that’s how we’re starting it — that’s not how we’re going to kick it off.”

Currently, there are no announced plans for Megyn Kelly to interview President Trump. The next episode airs on Sunday, June 11, 2017, and features an interview with Erin Andrews.

During the premiere episode, Megyn Kelly asked President Putin about a dinner he attended where political figures such as Dr. Jill Stein and Mike Flynn were also seated. Here is a brief transcript that was taken from Megyn Kelly’s interview. You may watch the video below. Megyn Kelly asked Vladimir Putin the following.

“He came over here for a dinner, a photo of which has been widely circulated in the American media. What was the nature of your relationship with him?”

Vladimir Putin responded to Kelly’s questioning and denied having a personal relationship with Mike Flynn.

“You and I, you and I personally, have a much closer relationship than I had with Mr. Flynn. You and I met yesterday evening. You and I have been working together all day today. And now we’re meeting again. When I came to the event for our company, Russia Today, and sat down at the table, next to me there was a gentleman sitting on one side.

“I made my speech, then we talked about some other stuff. And I got up and left. And then afterward I was told, ‘You know there was an American gentleman, he was involved in some things. He used to be in the security services.’ That’s it. I didn’t even really talk to him. That’s the extent of my acquaintance with Mr. Flynn.”

Though some on social media networks didn’t think Megyn Kelly’s show would be a success, and of course, President Donald Trump has made his opinions regarding Kelly’s skills as an interviewer known, NBC reported that Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly pulled in impressive numbers, outperformed 60 Minutes, and was the No. 1 news show for last week’s time slot.
