Angelina Jolie Did Not Adopt More Children After Brad Pitt Split

The rumors that Angelina Jolie adopted more children after her split from Brad Pitt are not true. While many have been led to believe that Jolie would expand her brood following her divorce, she has not done so, and it doesn’t sound like she has any plans to adopt at this time.

According to Gossip Cop, the latest batch of rumors started after Jolie was spotted in Los Angeles at La Brea Tar Pits with four of her kids and another group of children. Those children appeared to be of Asian descent, leading many to believe that Jolie was considering adopting them.

“The actress hasn’t adopted the Asian children who were with her on the family outing. Those kids are friends of Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh, and were visiting from Cambodia for her 11th birthday. She met the children during her stay in the country last year while her mom was filming the upcoming drama, First They Killed My Father,” reports Gossip Cop.

Jolie and Pitt have six children together; three biological and three adopted. For years, many people have thought that Jolie would adopt more children. For whatever reason, her split with Pitt made those rumors reappear. Perhaps it’s because people think that she has a void to fill. Or maybe it’s because she hasn’t adopted a kid in a while. Whatever the reasons may be, the rumors simply aren’t true.

“GossipCop [busted Radar Online] when it made a similarly false claim last month after Jolie, Shiloh and this same group of friends were spotted celebrating her birthday at Disneyland. The site claimed Jolie was ‘adopting again’ on the simple basis that she was seen with a group of Asian children. Only, there was no further evidence to back up this presumptuous and ridiculous claim.”

Since her split from Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has been spending a great deal of time out and about with her kids. They have been spotted all over the place and recently visited Disneyland. It does seem as though Jolie has put a lot of effort into her children, perhaps easing them into the transition of growing up in a single-parent household.

When Pitt and Jolie announced their split, they not only asked for privacy, but they also made it clear that they would remain focused on the well-being of their children. Although there have been plenty of rumors that Pitt hasn’t gotten to spend ample amounts of time with his brood, he recently said that things are being worked out privately.

“I was really on my back and chained to a system when Child Services was called. And you know, after that, we’ve been able to work together to sort this out. We’re both doing our best. I heard one lawyer say, ‘No one wins in court—it’s just a matter of who gets hurt worse.’ And it seems to be true, you spend a year just focused on building a case to prove your point and why you’re right and why they’re wrong, and it’s just an investment in vitriolic hatred. I just refuse. And fortunately my partner in this agrees. It’s just very, very jarring for the kids, to suddenly have their family ripped apart,” Pitt told GQ in that same interview.

As far as having more kids goes, it doesn’t sound like Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt will be adopting. They seem content with their six children, and they are just trying to make life work after ending their marriage. Any reports that you read to the contrary are probably untrue. If Jolie is going to adopt again, chances are she will be forthcoming with that information, as she has been in the past.
