Miranda Lambert Reportedly Thrilled Blake Shelton Left Gwen Stefani At Home For The CMT Awards
Miranda Lambert may have brought her love Anderson East to Wednesday night’s CMT awards, but was she secretly thrilled that her ex left his love Gwen Stefani at home for the night?
“The CMTs are one of Miranda [Lambert]’s favorite shows. It’s always so much fun AND she looks forward to the show every year. She’s voiced some concern about Blake [Shelton] bringing Gwen [Stefani] to the show — she’s really hoping that he’ll attend solo. She’s over him, but seeing him with Gwen is still uncomfortable for her and she just doesn’t want anything to put a damper on her special night,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com.
A lot had been made about Shelton’s possible reunion with Lambert at the CMT Awards — but it sounds like Gwen Stefani isn’t bothered by all the noise. While it is rumored that Shelton and Lambert saw each other at the event, the No Doubt alum is not concerned about what might happen.
An inside source told Hollywood Life that Stefani was not worried about Shelton talking to his ex-wife at the awards ceremony. The two have been dating for well over a year and she doesn’t feel threatened by anything, including a meet-up between Shelton and Lambert.
“Gwen couldn’t care less if Blake runs into Miranda Lambert at the CMT Awards or anywhere else,” the insider revealed. “She’s never been so completely secure in a relationship before. Blake makes her feel like a queen, so he could literally be surrounded by gorgeous women and she wouldn’t mind.”
This news isn’t all that surprising given how Stefani’s relationship appears stronger than ever. The two seem like a perfect match, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, and it looks like Shelton is in it for the long term.
While we still wait to hear if Shelton crossed paths with his ex, Hollywood Life reports that Blake Shelton’s The Voice contestant and country star RaeLynn recently dished on his romance with Stefani. RaeLynn, a good friend of Shelton ever since her rise to stardom on Season 2 of The Voice, is nominated for Breakthrough Video of The Year and had nothing but good things to say about the couple.
“Blake is like my older brother/dad. He is so much fun to be on the road with. I never have to worry about anything. He’s so sweet and has so much fun on stage. If you went to a Blake concert and you didn’t know him you would leave thinking you were his best friend,” she explained.
RaeLynn also shared a few kind words for Stefani, saying: “And, Gwen’s awesome. She’s such a sweetheart and the life of the party. It’s been an honor to get to hang out with her and to spend time with someone that is so iconic in music in general. I always forget who I’m hanging out with because she’s so down to earth and sweet. They’re so cute.”
ET Online also reports that Shelton and Stefani are recording music together once again. The couple was photographed entering a studio last week but haven’t confirmed their new project. Shelton donned his usual casual attire for the outing while Stefani rocked a green jacket with white letters. The two released a duet in 2016, titled “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” The track was featured on Shelton’s latest album, If I’m Honest.
Shelton later revealed that he and Stefani co-wrote the song, which helped them feel good about their new romance and enabled them to move forward after their respective divorces. The pair started dating months after Stefani called it quits with rocker Gavin Rossdale.
