Lauren Conrad Debuts Maternity Clothing Line
Lauren Conrad, affectionally known as “LC” during her days on Laguna Beach, has officially launched a gorgeous maternity line. The soon-to-be mom has recently revealed that she’s having a boy, and obviously, it was only a matter of time before the pregnant fashionista would design a wearable line for fans of her style.
She spoke to People about her inspiration for creating the line.
“One of the things I really struggled with when I was shopping was that I wanted to maintain my everyday style, but I had trouble finding the types of pieces available in maternity collections.
“So I wanted to cater towards our existing customer who just happens to have a new shape, but still wants to dress in line with her style that she has had for years,” she said.
The reasonably priced clothing line is available for purchase exclusively via Kohl’s, which is fantastic for moms to be on a budget.
She models some of the styles on her website, which are the typical boho chic styles we’ve come to expect from Lauren Conrad. She sells a variety of beautiful dresses, tops, and even leggings with a panel top to allow room for a mother-to-be’s belly to grow.
Lauren Conrad recently revealed that she had been hoping for her a boy, though her husband, William Tell, had been saying he simply wanted a healthy baby.
“I’m thrilled to be having a boy. I really wanted a boy. We just want a healthy baby.’ And I’d say, ‘But a boy would be nice!’ I was a wild little tomboy, so I think I understand boys,” the former The Hills star dished.
She continued her conversation with the magazine, Fit Pregnancy.
“I always thought, ‘Someday, I’ll have a family.’ But it wasn’t until I was married that it was a real conversation. I think your 20s are about figuring out who you are and finding a career. Then once I got married, William and I wanted a couple years to ourselves. When you’re a mother, you’re no longer your own top priority, and that idea was a little scary to me. But we’re ready for a baby now,” she revealed.
The former reality TV star turned designer is also finding ways to keep fit during her pregnancy, but also stated that she originally had a ton of morning sickness. As a result, she had trouble putting on weight, which she thought was funny as she says she had never had a problem like that in her life. She opened up about her doctor telling her to have a milkshake a day, which she gladly took on board to help her little one grow.
Although many moms to be are concerned about the day that they give birth, Lauren Conrad has said she isn’t nervous one bit.
“My main concern is doing whatever’s right in the moment. My friends have said, ‘Have a plan, but don’t be so committed that you’re unwilling to change if you need to.’ I’m not worried about the pain that comes with giving birth. Maybe I’m just naive, but it’s pretty low on my list of concerns. I feel like women have been doing this forever,” she opened up.
Now that Lauren Conrad has expanded into maternity wear to help usher in her next phase of life, it will be interesting to see if she also chooses to do children’s clothes once her young son makes his debut.
A line full of cute and reasonably priced kids clothing with her son modeling would definitely be a big delight for fans of Lauren Conrad, both her line and her work.
