Ellen DeGeneres: Talk Show Host Spotted Without Wedding Ring Amid Portia De Rossi Divorce Rumors
Ellen DeGeneres has just added to the speculation that she and her wife, Portia De Rossi, could be headed for divorce after eight years of marriage.
Following a slew of reports, including allegations of a relationship with Drew Barrymore and a lunch date with a “mystery brunette,” Ellen DeGeneres stepped out in West Hollywood with her wedding band noticeable absent from her ring finger.
On June 7, Radar Online shared photos from the talk show host’s recent outing in which Ellen DeGeneres was seen smiling as photographers snapped her picture. However, according to the outlet, DeGeneres’ marriage to De Rossi is “crumbling.”
During her outing, Ellen DeGeneres was seen walking beside a mystery man while wearing a dark sweatsuit with black tennis shoes and a white baseball cap. Meanwhile, her actress wife was nowhere to be seen.
As the outlet revealed, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi were reportedly seen fighting during a visit to Madeo restaurant in Beverly Hills a short time ago, prompting rumors of a possible split between them.
“It seemed like they were fighting,” an eyewitness revealed to Radar Online at the time. “Portia kept trying to talk to Ellen, but Ellen wouldn’t even look at her as she screeched out of the parking lot.”
Adding to the speculation into their potentially impending split is the fact that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi recently sold one of their marital homes in Los Angeles. As a report by Variety explained earlier this month, DeGeneres and De Rossi had unloaded their $6 million condo on the Wilshire Corridor as of June 1.
“Portia is tired with being the stay-at-home wife, while [Ellen Degeneres] gets the big career and all the attention,” a friend of the couple explained. “Things reached the boiling point a few weeks ago, and after their worst fight ever, Portia packed up and headed to a secluded home they secretly bought in Beverly Hills months ago.”
Radar Online went on to say that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi had reportedly made plans to attempt to mend their marriage with an alleged “Band-Aid baby,” but shortly after deciding to start a family, they reportedly had a change of heart.
Ellen DeGeneres’ recent outing in West Hollywood without her wedding ring comes just over a month after a report claimed she and Drew Barrymore had grown close to one another as they continue to work on DeGeneres’ new show, First Dates.
“Portia is threatened by Ellen’s relationship with Drew,” a source explained to Radar Online in May. “Their emotional bond is obvious, and Portia is feeling completely left out.”
According to the report, Portia De Rossi has grown suspicious of the women’s relationship, especially after Barrymore confirmed she was attracted the women sexually.
“Ellen and Drew have the same goofy sense of humor, and they laugh like idiots at each other’s jokes,” the insider claimed. “Portia is a lot more serious, and it’s like those two have some unspoken language that she’s not part of.”
In addition to rumors of a potential love triangle with Drew Barrymore, Ellen DeGeneres has also been accused of enjoying a lunch date with a mystery brunette. As Radar Online revealed to readers earlier this week, Ellen DeGeneres was seen having lunch at the vegan restaurant Crossroads in West Hollywood on June 1, 2017, with her wife nowhere in sight.
The outlet also revealed that while the talk show host has appeared strained during outings with her wife, she appeared “carefree” while out with the mystery woman.
