Tate Stevens Finishes First On ‘X Factor’ Once Again

The X Factor had it’s elimination show on Wednesday and narrowed the field down to only four competitors.

According to MTV.com, the results were revealed between performances by Ke$ha and the winner of last season’s The X Factor Melanie Amaro.

CeCe Frey received the lowest amount of votes and was eliminated from the competition.

The X Factor judge L.A. Reid later tweeted, “CeCe kept things exciting, I’m sad to see her go.”

Later on in the results show, 13-year-old Diamond White and the girl group Fifth Harmony wound up competing “head-to-heads” for the last slot in the Top 4.

For the sing-off, Fifth Harmony sang Mariah Carey’s “Anytime You Need A Friend” and Diamond White sang Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance.”

Once both singers performed their songs, three out of the four judges voted to send Diamond White home. This gave Fifth Harmony the fourth and last spot for the semi-final competition.

Teenage diva Carly Rose Sonenclar and country singer Tate Stevens once again stood in the top two positions when the results were announced. However, Tate Stevens wound up claiming the highest amount of votes and the first place ranking … despite two incredible performances by Sonenclar.

Not only did Stevens impress the judges with his strong performance of Garth Brooks’ “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” , he must have also impressed America’s voters as well.

The X Factor Rankings on Thursday, December 6 were as so:

  1. Tate Stevens
  2. Carly Rose Sonenclar
  3. Emblem3
  4. Fifth Harmony

The next episode of The X Factor will air on December 12 at 8 pm.
