Kim Kardashian And Kanye West: Will She Get Pregnant For A Third Time, Despite Heath Concerns?
Kim Kardashian has been advised against having more children but could the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wind up pregnant in 2017?
Following a family vacation between Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and their two children, three-year-old North West and one-year-old Saint West, in the Bahamas, an insider claims the rapper is hoping to expand their family.
“[Kanye West] loves his family so much and really wants more kids,” an insider told Hollywood Life on June 6. “He definitely brought it up on the trip. [Kim Kardashian] would love to [have more children] as well in a perfect world, but the reality is that pregnancy is so hard on her it may not happen.”
As fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians may recall, Kim Kardashian has struggled through two pregnancies already and due to a condition known as placenta accreta, she has been told by doctors that getting pregnant a third time could pose major health hazards.
According to the Mayo Clinic, placenta accreta is a condition in which “blood vessels and other parts of the placenta grow too deeply into the uterine wall.” As the institution explained to readers, the condition often leads to an early C-section and the possible removal of a woman’s uterus.
After the birth of her first child, daughter North West, in June 2013, Kim Kardashian opened up about her high-risk pregnancy in a blog post on her website.
“My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails,” she wrote to her many fans and followers. “My mom was crying; she had never seen anything like this before. My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that — it was the most painful experience of my life!”
Still, Kim Kardashian wasn’t done having children and in 2015, she conceived her second child, son Saint West.
Now, as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West consider expanding their family, a third pregnancy seems to be out of the question. As Hollywood Life pointed out, no husband would want their wife to endure such a traumatic pregnancy. That said, Kim Kardashian was seen discussing the idea of a third pregnancy during an early episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 13. As fans may recall, Kardashian announced she was going to try for one more baby before her mother, Kris Jenner, expressed concern.
“You’re in so much pain – don’t do something that would put you in grave danger,” she said.
While pregnant with her second child in late 2015, Kim Kardashian took to her blog with another post to fans and admitted that her pregnancy has been far from easy.
“I have been very open and honest about my pregnancy struggles,” the 36-year old said. “This pregnancy, I’m definitely scared for my delivery, but trying my best to be hopeful and not stress out too much!”
Kim Kardashian also discussed her previous pregnancy in 2013.
“Last pregnancy, I had a condition called preeclampsia, which is a serious condition you can get during pregnancy,” she explained. “It causes your body and face to swell, and that was very uncomfortable for me. I had early-onset preeclampsia and I had to deliver at 34 weeks, almost six weeks early.”
