‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Tom Payne, Ross Marquand Tease Season 8, It Will ‘Trump Everything’ Done So Far

The Walking Dead Season 8 is filming right now and fans are getting anxious for any spoilers. Recently, Tom Payne and Ross Marquand teased what viewers can expect in Season 8. It was stated that the scenes will “trump everything” that has been done on the TV show so far. What information is known about the AMC series?

TWD spoilers might be ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what to expect on the television show.

The trailer for The Walking Dead Season 8 will not be unveiled until next month at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con. However, Tom Payne, who plays Jesus, and Ross Marquand, who portrays Aaron teased that the upcoming season is going to be huge. Marquand told ComicBook.com to expect the new season to “trump everything” that fans have seen so far in the history of the television series.

“I think, I mean, for as cool as the tiger is, we all love Shiva, but I think what we’ve got to show here in Season 8 is going to trump everything that we’ve ever done on the show by far… I really can’t say much, but I will say that again I think it’s going to be, I think with what we’re capturing so far I think it’s going to be the best season so far of the show. I think it’s so, so well crafted.”

Payne teased that the best episodes are going to be at the beginning of Season 8. Even though he wants TWD fans to be excited when the trailer is released, he hopes it doesn’t give too much away.

“I kind of hope not because there is stuff like this sequence that was shot last week that I don’t want the audience to know about until it happens in the show. It’s a surprise and you’re like, ‘Whoa, that’s gonna happen!’ I don’t know, so I think the Comic-Con trailer is a tough one because you don’t want to give away the cool stuff that’s coming. So, I think they’ve got a bit of a job on their hands cutting it together.”

There has been very little information released about what to expect in The Walking Dead Season 8. However, fans do know that there will be a war. Alexandria, the Kingdom, and most of Hilltop Colony will work together to battle Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors. The exception is Gregory (Xander Berkeley), who is planning to pay a visit to the Sanctuary to talk to Simon (Steven Ogg).

In the TWD comic books, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) arrives at the Saviors’ home base only to find that Gregory beat him to it. Fans expect something similar to happen in Season 8 of AMC’s hit series. In a separate interview with ComicBook.com, Steven Ogg revealed that it will be “all-out war.”

“Yeah, it’s a big, big show. I mean I really didn’t think about the one hundred things so much as it’s, where it says it’s all-out war, you definitely get that. Oh yeah. It’s all out war.”

As fans may have heard, The Walking Dead Season 8 premiere will be a big milestone for the show. It will mark its 100th episode and viewers are wondering what the writers have planned. Showrunner Scott Gimple spoke about the milestone at Paleyfest earlier this year.

“Episode 801, the first episode of Season 8, is going to be the 100th episode. The first episode is, I think less about that we reached 100 episodes. It’s more about setting up the next 100.”
