‘Married At First Sight’ Spoilers: Will Nate Duhon Choose His Mom Over His Wife?

This season on Married at First Sight, Nate Duhon and Shelia Downs seem like they are getting along great. The thing is they have one big issue going on, and that is that Nate’s mom doesn’t approve of him running off and getting married at first sight. She feels like he should have done things in a more traditional way. A new preview for Married at First Sight shows that Nate is going to have to decide which woman he is going to side with, and that won’t be easy for him. Radar Online shared the preview of what will go down this week on Married at First Sight when Nate’s mom shares her true feelings.

Nate’s mom is going to end up accusing Shelia of making plans so that she can avoid spending time with her. Of course, Shelia needs to get to know her new husband’s mom better. Nate will speak out in his confessional and say, “It’s frustrating talking to my mom about my marriage. My mom has made it evident that she doesn’t approve of me marrying a stranger. This is clearly the best decision I’ve ever made. I want her to be happy for me.” He doesn’t regret his decision to marry Shelia one bit.

In the Married at First Sight preview, Nate is seen talking to his mom, who is afraid that he will end up regretting getting married to Shelia, but Nate doesn’t see any reason this would happen at all. Nate said, “I think you’re waiting for the big fall out. You have a negative perspective.” She then replied, “I’m really disappointed. I want you to be open more to people and more to learning.” It doesn’t look like these two are ever going to agree on this, so it may just take time for Nate’s mom to be okay with Shelia. Getting married at first sight isn’t normal, but it might just work for Nate and Shelia.

Nate is extremely upset and doesn’t want to have to choose between his wife Shelia and his mother. Nate married Shelia at first sight, but he is falling for her. Nate’s mom has always made it obvious she didn’t agree with this marriage. Somehow, he is going to have to find a way to convince her that he did the right thing.

As People shared, Nate and Shelia are doing great besides this kind of drama with his mother. This couple got married at first sight, but Shelia admits that she is starting to trust him. This is making things a lot easier for her. They have already had a few fights, but they seem to be able to make it through it all; at least so far. They are even living together with his younger brother. She explained her thoughts on the blog about learning to trust after such a short time.

“Nate asks if I can trust him in a club setting. Contrary to how it’s portrayed, my response has NOTHING to do with my past experiences. Although I do believe that we are ALL a culmination of our past experiences … honestly? At 30, I’m just over the club! And although Nathan is quickly etching his name onto my heart, I just met this man. Trust is not something that happens overnight. It takes time.
