WWE Rumors: Two Former Champions From TNA Impact Wrestling And Independent Names Sign Deals With WWE

WWE may have full rosters for their two major wrestling brands and another roster for NXT, but there is always room for more talent. There is the future of the company to look at and Vince McMahon always wants his promotion to be number one in the world. Triple H is always looking around for the names and talents that he can bring into WWE and NXT whether it is from TNA Impact Wrestling, the independent scene, or even overseas.

Even though Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, and NXT may have seemingly full rosters, there will never be a time when Triple H and Vince McMahon aren’t looking for new talent. As a matter of fact, they appear to have found a whole host of new stars ready to step in and fight for a spot.

That isn’t even mentioning that there has to be something down deep which is even more satisfying when WWE signs a former champion from TNA Impact Wrestling.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, former TNA Knockout Tag Team Champion Thea Trinidad (aka Rosita) has signed a deal with WWE. She is set to begin training at the Performance Center in Orlando very soon.

This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to WWE fans as Thea Trinidad has been hanging around the company for a few months now. Back in April, she was spotted at ringside for an NXT event which had Andrade “Cien” Almas taking on Kassius Ohno, but there is more.

Trinidad is also in The Rock’s movie Fighting With My Family, which details former WWE Women’s Champion Paige and her wrestling family. In that movie, Trinidad starred as AJ Lee for a recreation of a huge match against Paige.

Not only will she be a good addition to the NXT roster, but Trinidad is also in a relationship with current cruiserweight star, and former TNA World Champion, Austin Aries.

While Pro Wrestling Sheet did state that Trinidad has signed a deal with WWE, she isn’t the only one. It looks as if former TNA Tag Team Champion Gunner has finally signed a deal as well and is set to begin in NXT soon.

Gunner has been teasing for a few months that he would be heading to NXT, but he needed to pass a physical first. Late last month, he tweeted out a not-so-subtle hint that he was getting ready to do new things and “takeover.”

Aside from the rumors that WWE has signed two former champions from TNA Impact Wrestling, it looks as if they had other names they wanted on the dotted lines as well. Pro Wrestling Sheet continued on to say that they have also signed:

  • Evie – Australian independent wrestler (29)
  • Nixon Newell – Welsh independent wrestler (22)
  • Fabian Aichner – competed in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic last year, Italian (26/27)
  • Axel Dieter Jr. – German wrestler (26)

Even though they are signing big names from right here in the United States, Triple H is always looking for talent from other countries to fill the roster. Building up their name and popularity across the world is what WWE is longing to do and they’re going at it the right way.

No matter how many superstars are already on the rosters of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, or NXT, there will always be room for more. WWE is going to keep searching for talented wrestlers who want it more than the next one and are willing to fight for that spot. Thea Trinidad aka Rosita, Gunner, Fabian Aichner, Axel Dieter Jr., Evie, and Nixon Newell are simply the current crop, but more from Impact Wrestling and the independent scene could step up at any moment.
