‘DOOL’ Getting Ready For Big Cast Changes As Ron Carlivati’s Writing Team Takes The Reigns?

DOOL announced months ago that Deana Higley had been replaced as Head Writer by Ron Carlivati. Because Days of Our Lives tapes so far in advance, fans are just now seeing the end of the scripts she had prepared for the show. Though there are rumors of Carlivati having made some changes to a few scenes, overall we just haven’t had the opportunity to see his full work yet. The following contains spoiler information for DOOL. If you don’t want to know, stop reading now.

It is no secret that Vincent Irizarry (Deimos) has been let go. According to spoilers, he will be leaving sometime in June. Then there is Arianna Zucker (Nicole) who has chosen not to renew her contract for another two years. To fans of DOOL delight, she did agree to stay on taping through June in order to wrap up Nicole’s storyline. Carlivati knows that fans are disappointed to see her leave because they have been very vocal on his Twitter to ask him to get her to stay. By the current taping schedule, Zucker’s character should make a final on-screen appearance by year’s end.

Spoilers have told us that DOOL will be bringing back DOOL sweetheart, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), and her son Will Horton (Chandler Massey). William Utay is on his way back to Salem as Dr. Rolf. Last he was seen, he was involved in resurrecting the dead. Could it be that he is the one that actually saved Will from the Necktie Killer?

Fans are anxiously anticipating Morgan Fairchild joining the cast of DOOL as Angelica Deveraux. She will be working with her grandson, Tripp, in the search for the killer of his mother, her daughter.

According to Soap Hub, DOOL fans may have even more goodbyes coming in the near future. With Carlivati as the new Head Writer, it isn’t surprising that the storylines will change and there will be a shift in the characters. He will need to bring his own vision for the show to the set. Expect it to look a lot different than it does now.

There has been some speculation on social media regarding a triangle with Sonny, Paul, and Will when he returns to Salem. There are cases that could be made for each side on who Sonny ends up with. The thing is, why would Will leave after just returning? Either he ends up with Sonny, or he is ready to move on without him. But how would Paul take it if Sonny went back to his husband? He has been in love with Sonny for a very long time.

Because there are no spoilers yet to give fans of DOOL clues, we will have to wait to see how the storylines play out. Will Abby and Dario marry so he can avoid deportation? Will Eli be moved by the FBI for another big case somewhere else? The possibilities are endless for Ron Carlivati and his writing team.

DOOL fans have been asking for changes for a long time. Some changes in the form of characters and other changes in repetitive storylines.
