Ryan Edwards’ Wife Denies Custody Loss, Mackenzie Standifer Takes On Rumor On Twitter

Ryan Edwards’ wife, Mackenzie Standifer, claims she never lost custody of her young son.

On Twitter earlier today, a report surfaced that claimed the Teen Mom OG star had lost custody of her child, a boy named Hudson. However, according to Standifer, she never suffered a custody loss to her ex-husband, Zachary Stephens.

On June 5, All About the Tea shared an article on Twitter titled, “Ryan Edwards Secretly Marries Mackenzie Standifer After She Loses Custody of Her Son!”

Following the post, some fans expressed confusion and asked for more information regarding Mackenzie Standifer’s alleged custody loss. As one fan pointed out, all that they could find about the issue was that Standifer’s child support payment to her ex-husband had reportedly been increased.

In response, the outlet explained, “The court orders a parent to pay child support when partial or full custody is loss.”

While the outlet attempted to clarify the report, one fan tweeted directly to Ryan Edwards’ wife and asked her to address the report.

“No way. [Mackenzie Standifer]? Again I have to ask the person involved I completely understand [and] respect [your] privacy if [you] don’t want to address this,” the fan wrote.

A short time later, Standifer addressed the report regarding a custody loss and confirmed that she had never lost custody of her child.

“Hell no I did not lose custody of my baby,” Mackenzie Standifer tweeted earlier this morning. “The courts had to readjust our child support, there had been an error.”

While All About the Tea also claimed that Ryan Edwards had proposed to Mackenzie Standifer after just months of dating during a visit to a Waffle House restaurant, he actually asked for Standifer’s hand in marriage while enjoying a dinner date on a riverboat cruise in Tennessee. As fans of Teen Mom OG may recall, the special moment between the now-married pair took place as cameras rolled for the second half of Season 6.

Ryan Edwards’ proposal aired on Teen Mom OG earlier this year. In May, as In Touch Weekly confirmed over the weekend, the couple tied the knot. Although Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer both remained silent in regard to the report, the magazine suggested the couple got married on May 15, just a short time before Edwards entered rehab to address his ongoing substance struggles.

For the past year, Ryan Edwards has been almost completely silent on social media, but his wife has been quite active. That said, she seemed to make her Twitter and Instagram accounts private around the time his stint in rehab was confirmed.

Mackenzie Standifer has been known to fight back against rumors and comments made on Teen Mom OG on her Twitter page, and throughout the last several weeks, she seemed to deny that her husband was hooked on drugs. Although the reality star never actually mentioned drugs in her tweets, she did tell fans that they shouldn’t assume anything.

She also requested her fans and followers pray for her and her family, which includes Ryan Edwards and their sons, Hudson and Bentley.

Ryan Edwards shares his 8-year-old son with ex-girlfriend Maci Bookout, who infamously put the spotlight on his alleged drug addiction during a recent episode of Teen Mom OG Season 6B.
