Katt Williams Unretires, Skips Seattle Arraignment

Katt Williams is unretired.

The comedian spent less than 24 hours in retirement. He told reporters yesterday that he was “kinda done” but the comedian’s representatives said that Williams will be continuing his tour.

Katt’s management team told TMZ:

“Katt is definitely NOT retiring. He will be moving forward with the tour … Friday is Texas, Saturday New Orleans, and on to Alabama … The reason why he made remarks was due to him feeling totally disrespected by all the things that happen to him in the city of Seattle. He had a moment where he felt very unappreciated. He now just wants to move forward from those unfortunate events and give his fans outstanding shows from this point forward.”

Williams had a pretty rough trip to Seattle. He was involved in a police chase, an electric scooter chase, a bar brawl and a slap fight. The Seattle Times reports that Williams was charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault after his Seattle adventures.

The Seattle Times reports that Williams was scheduled to appear in court this morning but he failed to show up to his arraignment. Williams’ attorney, Thomas McAllister, told the judge that his client was under the impression that he didn’t have to make a personal experience. The judge rescheduled the arraignment for Tuesday.
