New, small earthquake rattles San Jose, Bay Area

Fresh from a minor rattle yesterday, residents in San Jose and the southern San Francisco Bay Area have experienced a second minor earthquake this evening.

The 3.3 quake struck at 7:57:23pm local time with an epicenter in the Joseph D Grant County Park, 5 miles East of Alum Rock.

The earthquake, as with yesterdays, was shallow clocking in at 6.6 km (4.1 miles) below ground, amplifying its relatively low size. Twitter users are far afield as Fremont and San Mateo felt the quake, although many learned about it first on Twitter.

There are no reports of injuries or damage, and none are expected.
