Do Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Have A New Song In The Works?

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were just caught arriving at a recording studio in Los Angeles together.

As Blake Shelton prepares for his upcoming return to NBC for The Voice Season 13, he and Gwen Stefani have sparked rumors of a new song after photographers caught them together in Hollywood on June 1.

“Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani may be making sweet music together once again,” Hollywood Life revealed to readers on June 2.

As fans may recall, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began working on a duet shortly after their relationship began in late 2015 and in early 2016, they released “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” The song, which was featured on Shelton’s 2016 album, If I’m Honest, turned into a quick hit for the couple and a short time after it was released, they performed the track on an episode of The Voice Season 12.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s first duet featured lyrics, including “I never ever meant to get so into you / Thought I was using you just to get me through Last thing I needed was to fall in love.”

When Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton first began dating, they were both fresh off of divorces from their former spouses, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively. In July 2015, months before going public with Stefani, Shelton’s marriage to Lambert ended after just four years. Meanwhile, Stefani and Rossdale’s marriage came to an end after 13 years of marriage and three kids in August 2015.

Speaking to People magazine last year, Blake Shelton opened up about the process of making a country song with his rocker girlfriend.

“[Gwen Stefani] and I sat down and wrote this song about some serious insecurities that we had when we first started down this road with each other, and we both had trust issues,” Shelton explained to the magazine. “We were getting over it, but we wrote this song about it. And it’s perfect. I couldn’t be happier about that song and the way it came about and the honest way … It is like people getting a look at something personal for the first time.”

In addition to their 2016 duet, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton both penned tracks about one another as solo artists, including Stefani’s “Make Me Like You.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been quite open with their romance in recent years so the idea of a second duet doesn’t seem too far-fetched, especially considering they were seen together at the studio. That said, it is certainly possible that they were together to support just one of their careers.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have not yet announced any new music and when it comes to their roles on The Voice, only Shelton will be featured during the series’ upcoming 13th season. As fans may have heard, Shelton will be joined by returning judges Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus, as well as new judge Jennifer Hudson.

The following season, Kelly Clarkson is expected to come aboard.

While Gwen Stefani won’t be featured during the 13th season of The Voice, that doesn’t mean that she is done with the show. In fact, NBC is known to alternate the coaching roles of its female judges and for the past several seasons, Stefani has frequently come and gone.

“Once you’ve got a red chair, you always have a red chair,” Mark Burnett explained to Entertainment Tonight on June 1. “Coaches go on tour and make albums. This is the challenge of The Voice, is fitting into the schedule of these currently top-selling artists… [but] we love all our coaches.”
