Lindsay Lohan Plans To Launch New Business, Write And Direct TV Series For Netflix

Lindsay Lohan has been living a quiet, unassuming life in London for the past few years–although apparently she had a stint in which she was doing a lot of questionable things for the Turkish government. And although the last headline she made was when she got sued for $28,000 for an unpaid taxi bill, she’s forging ahead into the world of Netflix and evidently, jewellery.

Although she has no writing or directing credits to her name, LiLo thinks she has the chops to make the next sleeper Netflix hit. This time, it will be about Russian oligarchs, which she actually does know a little bit about, as her last boyfriend was one of the Russian elite.

A source close to Lohan has stated that she’s writing the new TV series with a partner from Netflix, though it is unclear if it’s actually been given the green light for production.

The source also dished some details to Page Six.

“She was saying she’s writing it with a partner for Netflix. “And that they’re writing it every day while she’s in town. She described it as being about ‘Russian oligarchs’ — three princesses, and covering different ages.

“She plans to act and co-direct or direct, but said she hasn’t decided yet. She was saying she’s going to Moscow to see some of the people that are working on it with her.”

So far, Netflix has declined to comment on the series and whether or not it is in production.

It has also been reported that Lindsay Lohan has a jewellery line in the works, though no word on what it will entail has been released. The Hollywood Gossipreminded readers that Lindsay Lohan was arrested for stealing a necklace in 2011, so it is a little bit ironic that she’s now going for creating a jewellery line.

Apart from her lawsuit, in which she failed to pay one of her drivers thousands of dollars (and he also fronted money for her hotel, which she neglected to pay him back for), she has also has made headlines for her apparent conversion to Islam. The star has been seen carrying the Qu’ran, the religion’s Holy Book, and wearing a hijab, though she also poses without it without much regard. When asked if she were going to to convert officially, she said she wasn’t going to comment on something she hasn’t yet finished.

Lindsay Lohan has been attempting to break back into Hollywood for over a decade now, but hasn’t been able to do so. It is reported that the star has been unreliable in the past, which has in effect, blackballed her from participating in the film industry. A few years ago, she participated in a documentary on her life and how she was trying to get back on her feet as an actress after all of these years. However, she showed off her unreliability to the crew of the docu-series due to the fact that she would often flake on filming or tell them she didn’t want to appear on camera on a scheduled day.

The former child star is in talks to star in Life Size 2 with Tyra Banks, the sequel to the film about a young teen named Casey who brought her Eve doll (played of course, by Tyra Banks) to life.

Tyra commented on the reality of the show happening again.

“Yes, and I want her to come back and I think that she does too,” Tyra Banks said. “Actually, I know she does. So I really hope that she can be in it.”

Hopefully her jewellery line and Russian oligarch drama doesn’t interfere with Life Size 2.
