Ryan Serhant Reveals ‘MDLNY’ Episode Made Franchise History: Beats Out ‘MDLLA’?

Ryan Serhant has been on Million Dollar Listing: New York since the show began. Back then, he was a sole broker who was single. He was working constantly and he was often alone at the end of the day. Six seasons later, he has a massive team and he’s now a married man. While Serhant has been working hard to make some deals, it sounds like the viewers have also been falling in love with the agents every year, because they are all tuning in to watch the new episodes.

According to a new Instagram post, Ryan Serhant is now revealing that this season premiere was actually the second-most watched premiere in the entire series. This is quite the accomplishment for these guys, who have been dedicated to the show for years. Plus, the show has been nominated for two Emmys, which is something that Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles hasn’t been able to do. Bravo has tried to launch other Million Dollar Listing franchises, including in San Francisco and Miami, but they have both failed.

“On the heels of finding out that our season premiere last week was the second-most watched premiere in SERIES HISTORY (how is that even possible when no one watches live TV anymore anyway??????) I want to thank EVERYONE who helped make our Season 6 premiere party such a success,” Ryan Serhant explains on Instagram, revealing that he’s very proud to be involved in this franchise.

Of course, the New York agents have become staples of the franchise on Bravo. Fans are invested in the stories they watch on the show, especially in relation to Fredrik Eklund’s baby journey, and Ryan Serhant’s engagement and wedding. Ryan’s engagement made headlines around the world, as he was able to shut down Times Square for an hour one morning, so he could propose to his now-wife, Emilia Bechrakis.

But the success of Million Dollar Listing: New York also has to do with the hard work that these agents do every single day. As Ryan Serhant points out on his Instagram, he feels humbled that he has been able to achieve so much at the age of 32. He recently opened up on Instagram about his achievements in the real-estate industry and he is proud to have some outstanding numbers.

“At 32 years old I am humbled, baffled, excited, terrified, and grateful, to be on the cover of this month’s Real Deal Magazine, and to be #2 in actual closed resale deals in Manhattan (only) for 2016, right behind the incredible Serena Boardman. A few years ago I wouldn’t have dreamed of being here with so many great, hard-working brokers. In 2014 I closed $375,026,000. In 2015 I closed $479,417,000. Last year I closed $614,115,000 (and if you’re watching #MDLNY right now, YES, BROOKLYN definitely helped with that). I love this business. I love what I do. I love working hard. I love my colleagues. I LOVE MY TEAM,” Ryan has revealed in another Instagram post.

One can imagine that Ryan Serhant will continue to film the show for as long as possible. The other show that has been able to survive is Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles. While the show hasn’t been nominated for an Emmy award, the agents on the show enjoy filming it. Josh Flagg and Josh Altman have been on the show since the very beginning and the third spot has been filled by several agents over the years.

What do you think of Ryan Serhant’s post about the season premiere episode of Million Dollar Listing: New York? Do you think this particular show is the best one of the entire Million Dollar Listing franchise?
