Ryan Edwards’ Fiancee Mackenzie Standifer Takes Refuge In The Lord Amid Rumors Of Drugs
Ryan Edwards’ fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer, is doing best to stay positive as her soon-to-be-husband continues to face rumors regarding his alleged drug use.
Following reports of an intervention and possible plan for rehab, Ryan Edwards’ fiancee took to her Twitter page where she re-tweeted a telling Bible verse about taking refuge in the Lord.
“God’s way is perfect. The Lord’s word is pure. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. -Psalm 18:30,” the message read.
Standifer also recently re-tweeted a positive message from a fan about her family, which read, “[I] just want to tell you that you’ve got a beautiful family.”
While Ryan Edwards is reportedly facing hardships as he allegedly struggles with substance abuse, Mackenzie Standifer has stood by him and on her Twitter page, a photo of herself and the Teen Mom OG dad serves as her profile picture. Standifer has also shared new photos of herself and Ryan Edwards on her Instagram page, the latest of which was posted last week and included one other woman.
“These are the best days of our lives,” Standifer wrote in the caption of the photo.
After the photo was shared, however, Standifer unfortunately received some backlash from fans who criticized her for staying with the reportedly troubled reality star.
“Stop being desperate to have a man don’t settle for an addict put your child first,” one person said.

In addition to the criticism, some fans spoke of their support, saying that sober is a good look for Ryan Edwards. Others encouraged positivity.
“How about instead of bashing [Ryan Edwards], pray for him and his family!” a commenter wrote. “Why would she abandon him, good for her for sticking by his side through it all, whatever it may be!!! As long as he gets help and recover from it! We don’t even know what it is… So I’m praying for y’all. I hope that whatever it is Ryan is going through he gets the help he needs!!!”
Ryan Edwards faced rumors of drug use at the end of last year but ultimately denied the allegations. Months later, he’s been confronted with reports yet again due to comments made by his former girlfriend, Maci Bookout, during an episode of Teen Mom OG at the end of last month. As fans will recall, Bookout told her co-stars, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, that she was extremely concerned about Ryan Edwards’ health and later told her husband, Taylor McKinney, that she was worried he might overdose.

Throughout the ongoing drug rumors, Ryan Edwards has stayed completely silent on social media. In fact, he’s been silent on Instagram for several months now and hasn’t posted on his Twitter page since last summer.
As for his fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer is quite active on social media and after Ryan Edwards began facing rumors of possible drug use, she responded to fans with posts about being petty. She also told fans that she appreciated those who are praying for her family during their hard times.
Ryan Edwards has been featured on reality television for nearly a decade having begun his run on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant several years ago. During his episode with Bookout, the former couple was seen welcoming their now-eight-year-old son Bentley.
