Brad Pitt Spends Time With Chris Cornell’s Children At Universal Studios

Brad Pitt continues to show his love and support to his late friend Chris Cornell as he was spotted hanging out with the rock star’s children at Universal Studios.

On Wednesday, Brad Pitt took the time off his busy schedule and accompanied Chris Cornell’s children – 12-year-old daughter Tori and 11-year-old son Christopher — at the famous Los Angeles theme park, TMZ reports.

The 53-year-old actor appeared to have taken the daddy figure role for the day as he took the kids on a tour at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The trio was also photographed enjoying butterbeer while carrying wizard wands.

Brad Pitt then took Chris Cornell’s children on the Jurassic Park ride.

Onlookers noted that Brad Pitt’s six children with Angelina Jolie were not present during their theme park trip. Chris Cornell’s 16-year-old daughter from his previous marriage, Lillian, was not seen as well.

Many were quick to commend the World War Z actor for his kind and sweet gesture to the children, especially during these trying times. One fan pointed out, “Very kind and compassionate thing for him to do. Shows he was and is a true friend.” Another one commented, “It is so good to see Brad Pitt living and blessing others. I pray his family will be reconciled. That would be great news indeed. Well done Brad.”

Brad Pitt, who was a longtime friend of Chris Cornell, has always been very vocal about his admiration for the vocalist. In a 2004 interview, the Allied actor bluntly admitted that he is a huge fan of the singer.

“I’m a big Chris Cornell addict, anything he does.”

During one of the actor’s first public appearances after his split with Angelina Jolie, he chose to attend the ROCK4EB! charity event in Malibu, California and introduced Chris Cornell as his “good friend.” The rock star performed during the event and even teamed up with Sting for an epic mashup of “Every Breath You Take” by the Police and Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.”

Brad Pitt and Chris Cornell have also been very supportive of each other’s career. According to reports, the actor showed his support to the rock star by attending his concerts whenever he could. The same goes with Chris Cornell, who supported Brad Pitt by attending the premiere of his movies including Moneyball.

Soundgarden’s song “Outshined” was also featured in Brad Pitt’s 1993 movie, True Romance.

Brad Pitt, along with other celebrities, paid their respects at Chris Cornell’s funeral and memorial service at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery last week.

Meanwhile, Chris Cornell’s family is still not convinced that the singer conciously took his own life. It can be recalled that the Soundgarden vocalist allegedly hanged himself on May 18.

According to reports, Chris Cornell was discovered lifeless on the bathroom floor of his hotel room at the MGM Grand Detroit after Soundgarden’s show on Wednesday night. Apparently, a family friend had forced his way to the singer’s room and found him with a band around his neck. It was also noted that there was no blood in the scene, prompting the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office to suspect a possible suicide.

Just recently, Chris’ wife, Vicky, stated that the family still has several unanswered questions about the singer’s sudden death. TMZ reports that the City of Detroit refused to release information about Chris Cornell’s death, claiming that the case is still “an open investigation.”

The news outlet added that the family lawyer, Kirk Pasich, sent a Freedom of Information request asking for the police and toxicology reports but were denied. The authorities reiterated that releasing the info would “compromise and/or interfere with their investigation.”

Vicky reportedly insisted that her husband might be under the influence of drugs and was not in his right mind when he committed the alleged suicide.

Chris Cornell’s longtime friend, Dr. Eric Esrailian also backed up Vicky’s claims, saying that the rock star’s wife and children were the center of his life.

“If [Cornell] was aware of what he was doing I don’t think Chris would ever do this to his family. The Chris I know would never do this to his family…I completely don’t believe he had this planned out. He always was focused on his children and his wife”
