Mama June Now Careful About Dating After Weight Loss, Will Honey Boo Boo Help Mom Find Love In 2017?
Two months have passed since Mama June flaunted her new body on From Not to Hot. Her weight loss has been spectacular. From being obese to doing a Pamela Anderson in a red bikini, she has come far. However, when it comes to dating, she seems to be extra careful these days. Her daughter Honey Boo Boo, however, wants her mom to get back to dating again.
Mama June has never looked better than how she looks now. She thanks her rigorous weight-loss program and her surgeries, which helped her achieve the new look. The 37-year-old reality TV star attended the premiere of WEtv’s Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta last week. After maintaining a low profile since the From Not to Hot finale, she decided to attend this major red carpet event. Her 11-year-old daughter Alana Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo, accompanied her to the event.
According to reports, Mama June has been busy maintaining her new look. She is now making sure that her weight loss does not get wasted. That is why she is still going through a laborious process or working out at the gym. She is also following it up with a healthy diet plan. After all, the incredible story of Mama June losing 300 pounds should remain as an example to the world.
Mama June must also thank her doctors for achieving her new look. She apparently spent around $100,000 for multiple surgeries. She apparently had skin removal surgery, gastric sleeve surgery, and breast augmentation surgery. However, at the end of it, she was proud of what she achieved.
Nevertheless, Mama June’s history with an unfaithful man like Sugar Bear must have made her extra careful about men. Sugar Bear left Honey Boo Boo’s mom for another woman. His newfound love was Jennifer, whom he married earlier. While Mama June started her weight-loss program to prove a point to her ex, it was eventually far more than revenge and jealousy for her.
According to E! News, Mama June has been very careful about men since she went through the weight loss, and she is apparently not eager to lose her singlehood anytime soon. On the other hand, Honey Boo Boo is determined to help her mom find love soon. Her mother’s dramatic weight loss has only made her proud.

For those who don’t know, Honey Boo Boo and her mom became hugely popular even before they were a part of From Not to Hot. TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was extremely popular. Its premiere episode had 2.2 million viewers, which was on par with the popularity of the Mad Men Season 7 premiere. During the peak of her popularity, Honey Boo Boo earned around $20,000 for each episode, according to Buzzfeed.

However, Mama June’s family had to suffer its share of brickbats as well. Honey Boo Boo’s mom was slammed after a TMZ report revealed in 2014 that she was exposing her 9-year-old daughter to a registered child molester. It was Mark McDaniel, whom the reality star was allegedly dating at that time. The show was eventually called off after the allegations went public.
Mama June, nevertheless, managed to build a positive image with her weight loss program on From Not to Hot. Now that people respect her as a determined woman, her daughter’s efforts to push her into the dating scene might just work. Mama June has a history with troubled men. However, she seems more sorted now. Maybe this is just the beginning of a new life for the reality TV star.
