Josh Duggar, Anna Duggar, And Baby Left Out Of Joy-Anna’s Wedding

Josh and Anna Duggar were left out of the online reporting of Joy-Anna and Austin’s wedding this week. To all the fans’ surprise, Joy-Anna got hitched five months sooner than her announced wedding date (October 2017). While nobody is really sure the reason behind the moving up of the wedding, it looks like the Duggars are trying to save the family net worth by flooding the media with good news.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth got married on May 26, 2017, right after her sister, Jill Duggar, her husband, Derick Dillard, and her baby, Israel, returned from Central America. The wedding was highly secretive, as her wedding registry stated that the big days would be in the fall.

However, the 19-year-old bride and 23-year-old groom seemed happier than ever to start their married life together.

“I think the moment I said, ‘I do,’ I felt a huge relief of burn, a tremendous weight off my shoulders,” Austin said on a TLC video on Duggar family blog. “I’m just looking share my life, its good times and challenges, with my best friend, Someone there to support me and love me and be with me.”

“Saying the vows, saying I do and committing our lives to each other is incredible,” Joy-Anna added.

The wedding was of course greeted with much fanfare. Like her sister Jinger Duggar, Joy got married in front of more than 1,000 people in the family church in Arkansas. For this big occasion, Jinger flew out from Texas to be a part of the wedding party, and Jill, who is doing missionary work in Centra America, flew back home to be the matron of honor.

In all of the wedding announcements and congratulations, it looks like Josh Duggar, the eldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, was nowhere to be seen. His parents made multiple posts on their blog, sharing videos of all their children congratulating Joy-Anna and Austin as they commit their lives as a couple together.

However, Josh and Anna Duggar failed to appear in any of the pictures. Jill & Jessa Counting On fans immediately took note and started to ask about him.

“No congrats from Josh & Anna and the kids? They are still part of the family,” Becky Masker wrote in the comment section of one of the photos posted on family Facebook. “It would be nice to see them once in awhile! :)”

As soon as Josh was mentioned, the fans immediately started to talk about the scandal that has canceled the famous family show, 19 Kids and Counting, and the fact that he molested his younger sisters.

“I can’t imagine that Joy’s new husband would be all that keen on getting well wishes from the older brother who used to molest her,” Rebecca Greenlaw commented. ” I’m not being hateful, just stating facts. Josh is kept put of the spotlight because they could lose all sponsorship and their show if he reappears. He’s got major personal problems for this family’s once squeaky clean outer appearance.”

This particular comment had some truth to it. Ever since the news outlets reported the fact that Josh Duggar molested his younger sisters, was addicted to pornography, and was signed up for an extramarital affair site called Ashley Madison, TLC decided to pull the much loved 19 Kids and Counting. The network, recognizing the family’s huge fanbase, granted a spinoff to the series called Jill & Jessa: Counting On, which basically has the same premise as the former show, but minus Josh Duggar.

The 29-year-old Duggar is also in the middle of some nasty court proceedings. On top of all his crimes, he is currently sued by a Los Angeles-based DJ, who claims that Josh used his pictures to create his profile on Ashley Madison.

“Josh Duggar is heading to court on June 22 […] to face off with the man whose photo he used for his secret dating and hookup accounts,” reports Radar Online. “After the 19 Kids & Counting star’s double life was exposed, McCarthy sued him in August 2016 […] McCarthy claims that being connected to an admitted child molester and adulterer would be highly offensive to a reasonable person.”

These events have taken a huge toll on the family’s public image, not to mention their combined net worth. His siblings had to work doubly hard to restore the good name back to their family.

One of the things that have kept the family in the positive light is all the marriages, courtships and engagements. On top of Joy-Anna getting married to Austin, the family announced that Joseph, after months of courting Kendra Caldwell, is now engaged.

Just because Josh Duggar is not allowed back on the TLC show, that doesn’t mean that his family stopped making an effort to include him in their daily lives. Although he is not allowed to make much of a public appearance, his kids often appear on family Facebook.

The most recent picture on Duggars’ Facebook site is a picture of baby Meredith, the youngest of his kids, enjoying some time with Michelle Duggar.
