Bethenny Frankel Divorce: ‘I Have Been Through Hell’ And May Have Been Projecting

Bethenny Frankel has been very quiet in regards to her divorce from Jason Hoppy. While she has revealed that the divorce has been settled, she’s been going through some personal torment. On last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York, Frankel revealed that she was still sad about the divorce progress, especially since he wouldn’t go away. Carole Radziwill told the ladies that Jason had been harassing her, sending emails to her then-boyfriend Dennis Shields, and continued to harass her.

About two months after this episode was filmed, Hoppy was caught harassing Bethenny in person outside of their daughter’s school. He was charged and he is going to trial. According to a new Bravo blog, Bethenny Frankel is now revealing why she was so emotional when she confronted Luann de Lesseps about her cheating husband. Frankel didn’t want Luann to go through what she had gone through with her ex-husband.

“It’s not me. It’s the Berkshires. Here we go…I mean three years in a row is a record. Luann had strength. I felt badly, and who knows if I was projecting. I just wanted to make sure she felt safe to jump on a lifeboat if she needed to. I don’t walk in her shoes. I have been through hell, and I truly wish her all the happiness in the world in her marriage and her life,” Bethenny Frankel explains in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of New York, revealing that she may have been projecting.

But the issue with Luann was just one of several that Bethenny Frankel was dealing with. Bethenny also had an issue with Ramona Singer, who had brought up her daughter in relation to the adult movie she had filmed previously. Everyone noticed that Ramona was acting differently with the ladies and Frankel feels she knows why.

“Ramona was lathering it on so thick that it was uncomfortable. I think she had an orgasm when she won that bunny,” Bethenny Frankel explains in her Bravo blog, adding, “I truly tried to simply let her know to not apologize, nor walk on eggshells and that she really, for reasons you will soon learn, has not been a good friend.”

It is interesting that Bethenny has such issues with her Real Housewives of New York co-stars this season. Frankel isn’t the only person who has issues with Luann de Lesseps’ relationship with Thomas. Several of the women are concerned that she’s making a mistake getting married to him. They don’t want her to get hurt since he has already been caught cheating.

But Bethenny does feel bad that all of the drama has to come out while the ladies are in the Berkshires. Of course, they are all together in one place and none of them are leaving. Unlike going out for dinner in New York City, the Berkshires allow them to confront one another, taking some time to cool off, and then get involved in the drama again. And Bethenny does point out that Dorinda Medley has created the perfect scene for chaos; wine, food, Christmas decorations, and a crazy group of women.

“Dorinda did make it nice. The food was good, the atmosphere was authentically holiday-ish, and I tried my best to not stab someone in a shower. I am sorry that it always gets screwed up for her,” Frankel ends her blog, promising that things will get even more intense next week.

What do you think of Bethenny Frankel’s explanation of the Luann de Lesseps conversation? Do you think she’s projecting her own divorce issues onto Luann’s troubled marriage?
