Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Face Engagement Rumors As He Hosts Proposal During Show
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton continue to face rumors of a potential engagement but so far, the reports appear to be false.
Following the conclusion of The Voice Season 12 last month, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been fairly silent on social media but when it comes to making headlines, the popular couple remains in the public eye.
Most recently, Shelton caught the attention of many when he hosted a proposal during one of his shows.
According to a report by Chicago radio station US 99 on May 31, Blake Shelton helped one of his fans, who happened to be a U.S. marine, propose to his girlfriend during a concert on Sunday night.
“I don’t normally do this… I guess I’m getting soft in my old age,” Blake Shelton told his audience before showing Brannon propose to his girlfriend on the big screen.
Then, after the U.S. marine knelt down and popped the question to his girlfriend, Shelton asked, “Did she say yes?” which she did.
Gwen Stefani did not appear to be present during Blake Shelton’s hosted proposal and because she has been so quiet on the social media front, it is hard to say where she is at the moment.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating one another in late 2015 after a couple of divorces from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, both of which were plagued by infidelity rumors. At the time that Stefani and Shelton’s relationship were confirmed, the couple was filming The Voice Season 9 and making their admiration for one another quite clear.
In the months that followed, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were faced with outrageous rumors, including a report suggesting they were expecting twins and others which claimed they were getting married. Needless to say, the reports were false years ago and as they continue, they remain false.
Although Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may not be pregnant or engaged, they are going strong, as was evident from a recent social media posting from Stefani.
On May 31, Us Weekly shared a screenshot from a post shared by Stefani on Snapchat in which the singer was seen wearing a pair of Vans with Shelton’s face on them. The outlet also noted that Stefani’s photo appeared to be taken in a studio, which could mean an upcoming song, album, or collaboration with her boyfriend.
As fans may recall, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton released a duet in early 2016, just months after confirming their romance. They then performed the song for the first time during an episode of The Voice Season 10.

During an interview with Rolling Stone magazine last summer, Blake Shelton opened up about his connection with Gwen Stefani and revealed when he realized that something special was happening between them.
“We were starting The Voice last year, and I had to sit down and go, ‘Look, by the time this thing airs, my life will have completely changed, and we need to talk about this now because it may affect what we talk about on the show,'” Shelton said of his divorce announcement ahead of The Voice Season 9. “I just felt like there doesn’t need to be secrets. And then the same thing [happened] with [Gwen Stefani].”
“We just started to develop a friendship after that. And it took awhile, because it’s chaos. But just over time, seeing each other a lot at work, it just kind of developed into that,” he added
