Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Reportedly Endured A Six-Week Trial Separation
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were reportedly secretly separated earlier this year.
According to a new report, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her rapper husband went through a six-week trial separation after taking a step back from their marriage and minimizing the amount of time they were spending together.
“They want you to think that Kanye just needed a break from fame and Hollywood, [but] he also wanted a break from [Kim Kardashian] and his life with her,” an insider revealed to Life & Style magazine on May 31.
Kim Kardashian has been spending tons of time with her family in recent weeks and recently enjoyed a tropical vacation with her sisters, including Kourtney Kardashian. Meanwhile, Kanye West had been hiding out in Wyoming as he worked on his upcoming album.
Although Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were reportedly apart for some time, their third wedding anniversary on May 24 prompted them to reconsider their relationship and the direction they were heading.
“3 down, a lifetime to go…,” Kim Kardashian wrote in the caption of her anniversary post on Instagram.
“They’re trying to make it work, but there are a lot of problems between them. It’s an ongoing struggle,” a second source explained. Kanye West “feels like she isn’t worldly or interested in experiencing other cultures… They’re on different paths and don’t connect anymore.”
While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were seen together at Disneyland earlier this month with their two kids, three-year-old daughter North West and one-year-old son Saint West, the Life & Style magazine report suggested that Kardashian had been parenting the kids by herself at the time.
A third source told the magazine that Kanye West continues to struggle with finding stability in his life.
“He’s not back to himself since the hospitalization. He doesn’t want to put himself in a situation where he’s taking on too much,” the insider explained.
As fans will recall, Kanye West was hospitalized at the end of November 2016 after suffering a reported mental breakdown while in the midst of his Saint Pablo Tour. A short time later, after spending several days in the hospital, the tour was canceled.
West’s hospitalization came just weeks after his wife, Kim Kardashian, was robbed by several men at the place she was staying in Paris with her two sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner. In early October, after the women traveled to the city to attend Paris Fashion Week, Kardashian was robbed of several million dollars worth of jewelry, including a diamond ring given to her by West.
Life & Style magazine’s report comes just days after another report claimed Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s recent three-year wedding anniversary reportedly brought the couple back together.
“Kanye [West] and Kim [Kardashian] are getting to a better place,” a source close to the reality star told Hollywood Life last week. “From his breakdown and her robbery there was plenty of collateral damage that stemmed from those episodes that threw their relationship in a bit of a tailspin, but they are now looking at this anniversary as sort of a rebirth.”
“They are very happy that they are both alive, have wonderful kids and they got through some bad times together, which has since proven to them both that this marriage is actually meant to be,” the insider continued.
