Vicki Gunvalson Doesn’t Apologize For Insensitive Tweet: More Focused On ‘RHOC’ Drama?

Vicki Gunvalson is one strong woman and she doesn’t really care about what people say or think about her. This has been proven on The Real Housewives of Orange County several times over the years, especially during the Brooks Ayers cancer scandal. And while Vicki tries to be positive and understanding, it sounds like she makes mistakes at times. Gunvalson recently wanted to pay her respects to the people serving the country so she could have her freedom, but her tweet was slammed for being insensitive.

According to her Twitter timeline, it doesn’t sound like Vicki Gunvalson has any plans of apologizing for her tweet that she shared this week. When everyone was mourning the losses of the soldiers representing the country in wars and with their service in the Air Force, Navy, and Army, Vicki wrote “happy” in her tweet. And some of her followers did point out that the day was about remembering those people who risk their lives to serve the country, not bring out the BBQ to have a burger.

“Remembering all the fallen soldiers this weekend. Happy Memorial Day,” Vicki Gunvalson revealed on Twitter over the weekend, while sharing a picture of a soldier with the American flag.

Within minutes, Vicki Gunvalson faced some harsh criticism from people about her tweet and her choice of wording. Of course, Vicki is far from the only person who wrote “happy” in her tweet about the holiday, as many other people wrote about celebrating this day in a happy way. But she was an easy target, as some people have called her insensitive before, especially in relation to the Brooks Ayers cancer scandal.

“You’re not supposed to say Happy.. there is nothing about Memorial Day that is happy,” one person wrote to response to Vicki Gunvalson’s post on Twitter, while another person chimed in, “I feel it may be inappropriate to say Happy Memorial Day. We are talking about men and women who lost their lives.”

“Happy is not the correct word for a somber day of reflection,” another person wrote to Vicki Gunvalson, while a fourth person added, “Not a single thing ‘happy’ about those people who died fighting for your country.”

It is possible that Vicki hasn’t gone on Twitter to see the negative feedback she has received for her tweet. One can imagine she decided to spend the day with her family and her children. In addition, she has revealed that she has been super busy while filming the newest season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. She has also been doing promotional work for Bravo for the new season and she recently sat down with the network to face off against Shannon Beador about who knew Tamra Judge the best.

“I know Tamra the best,” Vicki tells Bravo, while Shannon Beador is convinced she would win the competition, adding, “I better be the winner of that Tamra competition.”

It will be interesting to watch this upcoming season of the show, as she claims she has been very busy with the show. When The Real Housewives of Orange County ended last season, she had few friends left. In fact, Kelly Dodd appeared to be the only person in her corner, but it sounds like they may not be on the best of terms these days. Kelly has hinted that she feels betrayed by Vicki. The new season is expected to air on Bravo later this summer, but the network has yet to reveal a date.

What do you think of Vicki Gunvalson not correcting her tweet about Memorial Day? Do you think she needs to recognize her insensitive tweet?
