Tinsley Mortimer Net Worth: Is She Taking Advantage Of ‘RHONY’ Star Sonja Morgan?

Tinsley Mortimer is currently wrapping up her first season of The Real Housewives of New York, but she never expected to start a feud with Sonja Morgan while filming. Morgan had opened up her home to Tinsley, as she was looking for a place to live. It’s not that Mortimer didn’t have any money to find a place or live at a hotel, as her rumored net worth is an estimated $35 million.

But Mortimer thought it would be fun to live with Sonja while she found a place to live. The two had known one another for a while. However, within weeks, Sonja thought that Tinsley was perhaps taking advantage of her service, as Mortimer supposedly started using Sonja’s interns to get things done for her. According to a new Bravo report, Tinsley Mortimer is now speaking out about whether or not she was taking advantage of Morgan’s hospitality.

“Just when I was feeling really included and welcomed by Dorinda, I discovered that Sonja was once again at odds with me…this time about being late to the Berkshires. I couldn’t help being tardy, because I had to have lunch with my mom and some of her friends at Doubles. Why did she care?!” Tinsley Mortimer explains in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of New York.

While Morgan kept questioning whether Tinsley Mortimer was truly being a good friend to her, Mortimer is now revealing that she wasn’t taking advantage of her friend. In fact, she decided to explain what had happened in her Bravo blog.

“Having returned from the Hamptons, Sonja was tired and wanted to take a nap, as she had said, so I simply asked Connor if he could open the door to the driver who was bringing back the hats I had accidentally left inside his car. I was going out to get something to eat, and I didn’t know what time the driver would get there or IF he was even coming that day, but I didn’t want the doorbell to disturb Sonja. That is it,” Tinsley reveals in her Bravo blog.

Morgan wants people to think that Tinsley Mortimer was taking advantage of the interns that were working for Sonja and offering up their services to her. If Tinsley is worth $35 million, maybe she’s used to a certain way of life and wanted to use the interns at Morgan’s house as her servants. But based on her blog, this isn’t the case.

“I never expected her to react the way she did and imply that I was using Connor, her assistant, therefore taking advantage of her. Sonja has been a generous friend to me by inviting me to stay in New York. The LAST thing I want is for her to feel taken advantage of,” Tinsley Mortimer reveals in her Bravo blog, sharing that she doesn’t want to take advantage of anyone.

And if Mortimer is worth $35 million, there’s no reason for her to stick around Sonja’s townhouse to take advantage of people. Tinsley could afford to hire her own assistant if she needed to and she could just go out and buy a place.

Morgan may have misunderstood what happened with Tinsley on the show and she may have been upset that she wasn’t being invited out to lunches or dinners with Tinsley and their mutual friends. Perhaps she was jealous, but Tinsley reveals she never took advantage of Sonja’s hospitality.

What do you think of Tinsley Mortimer’s explanation of the situation? Do you think she’s taking advantage of Morgan given her net worth is upwards of $35 million?
