Ariana Grande Manchester Benefit: Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, & More To Perform [Report]

Ariana Grande confirmed that she would be performing a benefit concert for those affected by the Manchester bombing last week, and now possible performers for the big show are being revealed.

According to Leaf Music, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus have reportedly been confirmed to perform at the big show, which is thought will be held in Manchester but not at the arena where Ariana was performing on May 22.

Ariana and her team haven’t officially confirmed the claims, although the verified music account tweeted on May 29 that “Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj will be performing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester benefit concert.”

Notably, both Miley and Nicki have been outspoken in their horror in the wake of the attack and have publicly condemned the bombing that left 23 people, including children and teenagers, dead and another 59 injured.

Miley dedicated her performance of “Malibu” on The Voice Season 12 finale last week to the victims of the attack, which happened in the foyer of Manchester Arena just minutes of Grande finished her concert in the U.K. city.

“I’d like to dedicate this song to my good friend Ariana and everyone who experienced that horrific attack yesterday,” Cyrus said on The Voice ahead of her return for Season 13 later this year. “Our hearts are with you.”

Miley also shared a sweet message for Ariana on Instagram after the bombing, posting a snap of herself and the “Dangerous Woman” singer while telling the world that she wanted to give her a hug.

“Wishing I could give my friend [Ariana] a great big hug right now… love love love you… so sorry you had to be a part of such a tragic event!” Cyrus captioned a black and white photo of herself and Grande wearing matching unicorn onesies.

Miley then continued by writing that she was sending her “most sincere condolences” to those in Manchester caught up in the tragedy.

“All I can do is send as much HOPE & PEACE your way! This MUST end! No more war…. no more innocent lives taken…. L-O-V-E,” she added.

Nicki Minaj has also spoken out about the attack prior to reports that she’ll be a performer at the benefit concert. She told paparazzi in the days after the bombing that she wasn’t afraid to perform in Manchester while referring to Grande as her “sister.”

“Ariana Grande’s my sister and I love her and I love the people of the U.K. and I’m devastated by the news,” Minaj told paparazzi as they followed her through the airport shortly after the Manchester bombing. “It’s heart-breaking.”

Minaj was then asked if she was scared to perform in Manchester again after the horror at Grande’s concert, to which she replied, “No, because we don’t operate in fear.”

She vowed to schedule a gig there in 2018.

As for which other big-time acts are rumored to be performing at the Manchester benefit concert, Little Mix fan account @Mixers_Army claimed on May 28 that Grande has allegedly also reached out to Demi Lovato, Little Mix, and Katy Perry. Little Mix previously supported Ariana during the U.S. leg of her “Dangerous Woman Tour.”

Twitter user @GrandeAware also alleged that Selena Gomez has been asked by Grande to be a part of the benefit, while @blessedswifty claimed that Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga have also allegedly been reached out to by Ariana’s team.

Although Ariana has yet to comment on the speculation surrounding her benefit concert, according to TMZ, the gig will take place somewhere in the city of Manchester on June 4.

The site reported last week that Grande’s manager, Scooter Braun, had been “reaching out to some of the biggest names in music” and was “in the process of booking them.”

Ariana has also been in contact with a number of her friends in the music business to ask them to perform according to the outlet, though no further details have yet been confirmed.

Ariana revealed that she would be returning to the city in a heartfelt message posted to Instagram on May 26, four days after the attack.

“I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans,” Grande wrote in a lengthy message to her fans and followers

Ariana also confirmed that she would be holding the benefit concert in honor of the dead and the injured and to raise money for their families.

Grande has been surrounded by security since the bombing amid fears she and her family are targets following the attack.
