‘The 100’ Season 5 Spoilers: Tasya Teles Promoted To Series Regular, What Does This Mean For Bellamy And Echo?

The 100 Season 5 spoilers are already here, even though new episodes will not air on The CW network until next year. After the explosive Season 4 finale, fans are wondering what is going to happen with the characters. The most recent information is that Tasya Teles, who plays Echo, has been promoted to a series regular. What does this mean for Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley)? Is there a chance that Bellamy and Echo could get together while up in space?

Spoilers are ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what could happen on the post-apocalyptic television show.

According to TV Guide, Tasya Teles will be a series regular in The 100 Season 5. Fans are not too excited about this, especially considering her history. However, viewers are wondering if Bellamy and Echo will become a couple. After all, she went up in space with Bellamy and the others. Six years is a long time to be stuck in a ship with someone. What does executive producer Jason Rothenberg have to say about a possible romance? He hinted in a previous interview with TV Guide that there were always sparks between the two characters.

“Well, I’m not going to go there, really, with you right now. But definitely six years is a long time to be trapped in space with somebody. And Bellamy and Echo have always had sparks. Their relationship was certainly interesting from day one when they woke up trapped next to each other in Mount Weather. It’s been a long and winding road, and obviously that road’s not over yet… They’re all together in a group in space, so you never know!”

Echo does not have the best history. She was introduced in Season 2 and became allies with Bellamy Blake while trapped by the Mountain Men. However, in Season 3, she betrayed her new friend, leading Bellamy and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) into a trap. Then, in Season 4, she used Bellamy as a hostage and turned him over to Roan (Zach McGowan). After all the betrayal and lies, fans are wondering why Bellamy would save Echo from the second apocalypse. Not only did he rescue her, but Bellamy offered her a seat on the rocket.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, The 100 Season 5 will begin with a time jump of six years. That is a long time to be in a rocket with someone who has committed several acts of betrayal. TV Guide speculated that Echo will return to Earth a changed person.

“It’s safe to say that when we next see Echo, six years after she left for space, she’ll be a changed person. Having never left the ground before, Echo will have undergone the most dramatic adjustment to her new lifestyle — not to mention the fact that she’ll likely have become quite friendly with her former political enemies, including Bellamy and Raven [Lindsey Morgan].”

There won’t be much to do in that rocket except talk. It is interesting how even enemies can find common ground and understanding by having a conversation. Perhaps this will be the case with Echo? There might have been a reason why Echo betrayed Bellamy. Viewers may not have the whole story about Tasya Teles character on The 100. Hopefully, the writers will explain Echo’s perspective on things when Season 5 returns.

Right now, fans are not happy with the thought that Bellamy saved Echo. They are even less thrilled that there is a possibility that Bellamy and Echo might get together. Viewers will need answers, something to make them understand the motivation behind Echo’s actions. They are also going to have to see some positive changes in the character.

What do you think of what Jason Rothenberg had to say about The 100? What are your thoughts on Tasya Teles being promoted to a series regular? Do you believe Season 5 will show a romance between Bellamy and Echo?
